Brown, 32, is fortunate to be alive after crash landing from more than 45 feet during Thursday night's skateboarding big air competition. He also sustained bruises to his liver and lung, and a mild concussion. Seeing in replay and knowing he's OK, this was extremely cool to watch on the slow mo. He did a GREAT job to protect himself on the landing, letting his feet/shoes absorb the majority of the impact and angling to a sideways fall. You can see the panic as he's in the air, kicking his feet, knowing what is about to happen, but he landed as perfectly as one could in the situation. Great job, and here's hoping no long term injuries.
