PB issues on a MAC Options

ok i have read all the issues that people have been having with punkbuster. Mine were all worked out until i left for a few days and WHAM! they're back again. If anybody uses a MAC that can tell me the best way to get punkbuster to update itself i would be eternally grateful. I do try to do the save as b.s. in Explorer but i can never tell if it works. I run pbsetup.run and it tells me it's been updated but i still get the "cannot authenticate" error in game. Steel, OMM and one? Please help or other wise my machine may end up with my size 12 sticking out of it!

I've had no luck with updating PunkBuster manually on my Macintosh...when I'm having problems with being kicked for INIT stuff, I just use the workaround below:

Open console

Type in:

pb_security 0

Hit return.

Close the console.


It will let you play, but make sure that you do it when you first get into the server...
