Just got this e-mail yesterday. didnt see it until today.
Hope it helps everyone. 08/08/2007 13:51:00 - "Timothy Riley"  Note #5: We have identified a cause of this kick and will be updating PunkBuster on Monday the 7th of August to resolve this issue. You should be able to auto update when you join the game, but if you are unable to use PBSetup to manually update your system. |

You must be doing something right, you’re making headway. You actually connected to the forest last night and were able to type a couple things before you punked out. Don't give up now you here!
Have you/ or anyone just tried a full uninstall and reinstall? It must a dumb question, but I just haven't seen this issue. Knock on wood. Kilz ya later, hopefully --------------------  COD4 might be fun, But not as fun as a full forest :) |

Dude, I so totally uninstalled it's not even funny! I uninstalled both games, then went in and uninstalled all the COD files left on my hard drive, and started over totally THREE times now! I'm not giving up, I'm just going to go a different route, writing to Activision, etc.It just seems to me that Punkbuster should have represented the companies that use them better by having a speedier and more friendly response time to customer questions/problems. I mean, their business depends on people buying games that have their product imbedded in it, so doesnt it make sense to help those people? IMNSHO, they should have had a precise, step by step guide to what needs to be done to rectify this situation. Sure, have the automatic fix, but when it comes to the manual fixes, instead of just slapping some code up on your site, take some initiative and assume that perhaps not everyone knows exactly what and where that code is supposed to go! I mean honestly, how many people have fixed this problem by reading the Punkbuster website, as opposed to those who did like I did, and checked with their clan members and googled for fixes? I just dont think they are very user friendly is all. Sorry for ranting. |
