Rebalancing weapons / realism Options

I hate to be the guy that complains about this, but I think the servers can be greatly enhanced by reexamining the weapons and making them a little more realistic. I do like that a lot of the weapons are more deadly than many custom map servers...that's realistic, but the behavior of some is sub-standard to other servers. For example, the reaload time of the M14 is almost instantaneous. While this is probably due to making it better so that players might actually use it, I think that souping it up takes away from the game experience.



Of course, for those who have played me, my greatest beef is with the Noobinov. Listen, if it performed the way it does on these servers, we'd all be speaking Russian right now. A fully-automatic sniper rifle with a 20 round clip and zero recoil isn't a sniper rifle. It's a superweapon. It's so stupid to get in a close-quarters battle with a Dragunov vs. a MAC 11 and the Dragunov always wins. You guys have a ton of great weapons to choose from on this server and it is SUCH a shame to see everyone walking around with one weapon.



I have included a link to more information on the REAL Dragunov. It's a relatively less-accurate (as far as sniper rifles go), semi-auto sniper rifle with a 10 round (not 20) box clip.

I know things probably won't change, as people have now grown attached to their modified weapons, but the game experience has been far less diverse and far less realistic than it could be. I thought MOB was all about being the 'original' modern weapons mod and I'd be sorely disappointed if this was the first mod that came out and other servers were the ones which balanced the weapons and made them realistic. You guys have great servers... they just need a little balancing though.

Don't take it to heart pookie. Quite a few of us have the same concerns for the unrealistic powers of the dragunov. I usually go one round of modern weapons and then I go to a classic server. I don't mind Italy so much but Barb is just too big with snipers everywhere.

But that's just me and I do what Cross suggested...I go to a classic UO server. My choice.
