So Round 1 was the realization the war was not over as declared on the aircraft carrier.
Round 2 Al queada attempting to sitr up massive upheavals in a civil war, and organize the Sunnis in the west province as an al quaeda base of ops. But al quaeda pretty well smashed up now by US Forces aided by the Sunnis who formerly were attacking coalition troops with al quaeda. Now all the voices that thought people were delusional that didn't see destroying al-quaeda was the whole key to; 1] the only reason for the military presence in Iraq 2]seeing 'democracy' take hold in Iraq 3]Beating up the terrorists so that they'll never 'attack us here', Now those voices are all hushed. Wouldn't you think Bush and the admin AND supporters would be wooting it up now that al quaeda was smashed as a cohesive force? Well imo, we're seeing the reality reveal itself as to why Bush went into Iraq. The last excuse Bush had to go into Iraq was solely about the deadline he gave Sadamned to leave Iraq. Inspectors were finding nothing along the lines of WMD, and Bush imo -under Cheney's prompting- used the deadline to get in Iraq fast before 99.9% proof was gained by inspectors that no wmd's did exist and thus no reason was possible to go into Iraq based on that 'excuse'. Bush intends to stay in Iraq - he only wished democracy would take hold in Iraq -as we all do- but that's not his main agenda - he wants that area pacified - even if it means a lengthy military presence there. Now worst of all he's come up against an unaccounted for fear. Not only Iran, but other arab nations are financing their private 'warlord' type militias in Iraq of various faiths - including Shite vs. Shite- to wrestle for control - so begins Round 3..... Round 3 What we sorta knew but not worry about is Turkey making a major incursion into northern Iraq againstthe Kurds. What we largely don't realize is al quaeda is still up there conducting assasinations - including Iraqi Christians [ yes there are quite a few there]. In mid-Iraq things seem peaceful but you can wager the militias have strategically just gone to ground and are waiting to stir up a messy civil war. Now, in south Iraq, as you'll see in this link below, tensions are rising - Hopefully things don't erupt, but all indications it's just now a matter of time. http://news.yahoo.com/s/time/20071019/wl_t...lencemovessouth This post has been edited by Hellfighter: 10/19/07 3:01pm -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

I heard about this on the news the other day Hellfairy:)
Sounds like a lot of people are on pins and needles right now. Hopefully issues will be worked out to avoid another war. What are the chances of that?? -------------------- ![]() Signature designed by Old Man Mike Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway. ![]() |
