I read yesterday that he's actually taken "leave" of the Islanders and the NHL to seek counseling. I remember when Simon was really becoming a good player... putting up the PIMs and still getting the Gs and As with a good +/- as well. Then he went full out goonsville. His last two seasons with the Caps, he was doing really well and played on the first line for a bit with Bondra and Oates for a bit.
