Whats better, and or newer of the 2 cards?

You have to look to the future young man.
Take a look at the video card charts and pick a mid range one at the very least . Maybe a 7950 GT. would be my choice. http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics_200...0&chart=318 As you can see neither of the cards you mentioned are on the list.
