OK Bar.... alert;
I uninstalled Civ 3. Something in it really made be be done with it for good.
It's called deposition! If you have a thumb of land with a city sticking into enemy territory and no matter how advanced it is or militarily pumped up defensively it is you WILL have to kiss it goodbye. At some point in time, the game mechanics suddenly decides that city is enemy influenced and without warning changes into an enemy city- ie, of the nation you were jutting into!
Amazing BS - its like Pearl Harbour suddenly turning Japanese, or Hong Kong, or Gibraltar switching to the enemy nation /land surrounding/next to it. In essence its manipulating your play... forcing you to make sure you expand your territory in a neat line.... it sucks!

But I do have my eye on CIV 4 now..... huh.gif
