Ok, be forewarned this is a vid of a hit and run vic- he didn't die but is paralyzed.
The next sickening thing to the actual hit/ and the driver racing away, is the reaction of the bystanders.
I'm judging most of you are action people that help strangers in situations where others prefer to just stand in a crowd gazing at the situation without making any effort to intercede;
This is about the worse case of such morons..... take your pick- cars driving by the struck victim or people just standing yards away simply looking at the victim...... sickening case of human uselessness.

HELLFIGHTER man let me warn you about getting in the middle of a dude slugging his girl. DONT! I know it seems like the right thing but as you are tearing into him his gf is gonna start in on you too. I mean ur now beating her man. and or she is gonna stick up for him when the cops come. dont rely on the right thing to do.

I went into a burning building for a friend as his family watched from the street. I was 14, never knew why his father didnt want to go in.

I have stopped for so many accidents its not funny (to help and administer first aid)

I even stop for motorists (if it looks safe) to help them on their way.

I know what I have done and I know how it is repaid to me. I always have help when I need it. (even if I didnt ask for it)

I dont see how people can stand by. they always want to wait for the professional. if its a firefighter or a cop. I dont see why. you wont get sued for giving aid. people are just fucking stupid if you ask me.

I've done it a few times-> and yes you're right its the worst unpredictable situation to get mixed up in -its actually better to let a woman samaraitan break things up since the guy won't feel too threatened. But in this case-/ unlike the spat situation where a cop shows up and the gf says 'everything's fine-get lost!' -> she was getting pummelled before my eyes just yards from me and it couldn't wait for a cop to arrive-plus the guy though insane was pretty scrawny enough for me to just make a show for him to back up -last thing I'd do however is start throwing punches -usually just acting belligerent is enough to cool down the situation. Now if the guy was a huge biker/gangsta I'd think of an alternative way to 'assist'.

The weirder samaritan situations where you stop a purse snatcher or otherwise assist, is where the 'victim' doesn't thank you for helping them or at best merely acknowledges the effort. A funny world indeed. But there are lots of good folks out there to restore faith.
