i went to the 12am showing last night and after watching my son all day ,a bit hungover from the night before ,i was wondering how i would make it to 230 am in a movie. the only thing i can say is this movie is the real thing ,very dark and totally awesome. heath ledger was out of this world! i had a hard time believing it was him alot of the time.if anyones teetering on seeing this ,comic fan or not -its worth every penny and its been a long time since i heard the whole house cheering in a theatre especially for a villian.

really i feel bad for him but he did such a good job ,coming from a comic collector and fan ,he was the best villian in any comic movie made to this date inpo-bar none . honestly though,most movies are so predictable ,have too many over paid actors ,no script or just missing something all togethor. i remember going to see raiders of the lost ark when i was a kid ,never saw one commercial but my dad made me go-wow! people were going off during the movie,(the car/truck chase i still put down as top 5) this is the same reaction i heard last night,including myself and the 2 people i went with -all leaving excited and talking about it at 3 am . all the imax theatres are running it so im gonna see it monday afternoon there because it was sold out a week ago.



also - for those collectors ,it may be a bit late but the 1st running joker figure (sold out ledger figure) was said to be to unfriendly for kids and they (mattel) didnt make any more of them. they have however CHANGED the joker figure that is due in sept, to be more friendly. being this actor died and imo if he doesnt get the oscar itll be a big wtf (kinda like saving private ryan losing to shakespere in love) ,this figure is going to be worth quite a price soon . as with the original star wars figures,mattel only made a certain amount of figures and if you order now youll get your toy in sept. im sure cross got a few . there is quite a buzz on ebay.
