According to Mechanic he privately posted about this over in TheOtherMob forums.
I must say I'm a little surprised and disappointed it didn't get a bigger response.
Of active MOB members, only 2 people offered condolences or donated money, Bar and Mechanic.
People are quick to talk about how they are proud to be part of this online gaming community.
I guess the limited response shows their real feelings regarding the importance they place on the virtual community or more accurately, the lack of importance they place on it.

Is this really that much different than someone passing the hat around for donations at work because someone had a family member die?
I guess it's easier to skip the condolences and or donations when you don't have to look the person in the eye.
I didn't know Steve aka Skins but I'm keenly aware I could just as easily be the one in his place.
How many of you are in the prime of your life, a family with young children?
How quickly could that change due to accident or illness?
