What is Veterans Day?
- Lewis Smith - Veterans Day is a special day for Americans. Unlike Memorial Day when we honor those who gave their lives for our country, today is a time to salute all veterans -- both living and dead-- and their sacrifices. Today should not be a day of sadness, but a time of pride and reflection on what veterans have accomplished and the freedoms they have protected.  -------------------- |

I remember when I was in school.....I had the day off and my father had to go to work. I will never forget what he said;
"You get the day off from school to sit home and watch cartoons.....I fought in the war and have to go to work".....all said in good humor of course. Thanks to all past and presant vets. |
