I hope everyone takes some time to remember the sacrifices from the thousands of young men that made the difference 60 years ago tomorrow against Nazi tyranny and oppresion. We should never forget the soldiers and innocent civilians and also the mass-genocide of almost entire race. Alot of young people don't realize the freedoms we have today due to the people who gave their lives for us that we dear so much. Yes, I know it's almost 60 years ago and way ahead of our time but, the VETS are dieing at incredible rates and we will have none of them left so take the time and listen to their stories ,so we can pass their stories onto the next generation of people........LEST WE FORGET.

I own a restaurant in my town. We have a ton of senior citizens that eat here and I have gotten to know quite a few of them. Yesterday, I sat down and had a long conversation with one of the older gentlemen that eats their. He relived stories of WW2 and some of the things he saw and did. After a lengthy conversation, with me only listening and asking the occassional question, all I could say to him was "Thank you, thank you for me not speaking German. Thank you for everything." He had amazing stories, from arriving during the D-Day invasion, to being in Germany after the end of the war, to present day where he has been a practicing attorney for over 50 years. His generation is awesome. We can only hope to have another generation like this somewhere in the nations future. We sure could use it now.
