There has been alot of talk about heroes during the recent political discussions.
If you want to know what a real hero is, this story is full of them.
The 2 who stand out the most are Delta Snipers Shughart and Gordon. These two men volunatirly went into a hopeless situation in an attempt to protect Durant ( the pilot of the 2nd downed blackhawk ) until a rescue force could be assembled.

i think that that was the only investigation into that battle at all. the mil accepted that as the offical account. at least thats what it says in my book smile.gif
