The saying, "Location, Location, Location." is as true for gaming servers as it is for real estate. Most server providers offer comparable hardware. But not all have the location, bandwidth and customer support neccessary to provide a fast, fluid and lag free gaming enviroment.
Prices for these servers can vary drastically from provider to provider. I've looked around and found a 20 man server can run from $50 to $130 depending on the provider. Some providers also offer additional services or incentives such as: web space, Team Speak and/or Ventrilo, stats pages and user friendly online control panels. With the growing number of providers out there it's getting harder and harder to make sure you get the best bang for your buck. If you have a great server or a horror story let us know.
