If you bother to read this, you might wanna grab a chair...

Gentlemen, my little brother (Slayer) tried to download missionary this evening but when it was downloading, the entire comp crashed. Now this lil' shit has had some problems. It was first my mom's business comp until she said cussing.gif that because of it's dependability to crash, and got a new one. Slayer then inherited it and has been using it for about a month. It has crashed mutliple times until he called e-machines, the compueter company, (bs.gif ) and they pulled a system reboot, which wiped EVERYTHING from it. He then played MOHAA and it crashed again in time (not sure how long). My mom talked with e-machines and did something again yesterday, and he got on today and it was fine. BUT, he was downloading Missionary because he didn't want to be called a hack. It, unbeleivably, crashed during the download phase. He downloaded it again and he couldn't get into G'fellas #1 because it kept saying "Server Disconnected" Then, it crashed and then crashed again when he ran miss a 2nd time.

blink.gif WTF is going on? He's getting real pissed and I dont know what the deal is. Any advice or help?

BTW, he cleared Missionary from the NORTON Anti-Virus block list (i think). I know that you probably can't completely diagnose his problem, but i figured RD or Druid are the MIssionary and MOHAA gods and might have atleast a vague idea of WTF IS GOING ON??? cussing.gif

We are gettin gnowhere with e-machines... eusa_wall.gif icon_argue.gif

Does it restart or shutdown? Maybe the computer turns of but lights stay on?

Sounds like it may be a hardware issue. Is this what it's always been doing? Even before Missionary and/or gaming?

The first thing that pops into my head if its shutting down is overheating. Crack open the case and look inside to see if ALL fans are turning (including the power supply but most importantly the cpu fan).

Power supply may be your next concern. Check to see what the wattage is.
E-machines are notorious for putting in very small power supplies. If its 230-300 watts its probably too small. For Pentium 4 and gaming I would recommend at least a 350 Watt.

These are just theories. I will try to rack my memory to see If I can recall any other possible probs but right now my mind is drawing a blank.

Good Luck
