It is not my place to tell anyone how to run their server and that is certainly not what this post is intended to do. What I want to point out is the attitude and nastiness someone receives when asking for legitimate help, particularly when that someone is a friend of ours.

Silver did not ask me to post this so let's end all speculation now. I saw it and was truly taken back by it, so I decided to post it as I couldn't believe what I was reading.

For those who don't know, Missionary is currently not compatible with MACS. One of the main reasons is that there are few if any MAC hacks available. Missionary does have an option to let MAC players play, even on a Missionary ONLY server. You can even tell what type of computer someone is trying to connect to the server with in case you think someone is trying to pull your leg. (ie: Tell you that they have a mac but in reality they have a pc)

A few things I think needed to be addressed here
1) I don't consider him as stealing my mod, it's available for people to download.
If it wasn't, than my opinion would be different
2) As far as the recruiting of players who we wouldn't, that not a problem as long as they are not actively recruit from our server. Everyone is free to play where ever they want. If someone also plays on their server and is recruited there, than so be it. If it's a matter of someone coming to our server for the specific reason of recruiting people than I think most clans would consider if very gay.
Something else I think needs to be said. Concerning the idea that some of these people are not the type of people we would recruit. Well that could mean something very different to different people depending on how they look at it.
Recently someone made the rather idiotic accusation that the idea of the Regs was a pathetic attempt to brand players to insure the survival of our server.
To anyone who thinks that, I would have to reply, the idea of underclans has been around as long as multi-player gaming has been, don't know where the hell you've been. If MOB was my own personal clan, it would be 100 players strong and the only real requirement would be having fun.
Well MOB isn't my own personal clan, it's a clan made up of people together for the specif purpose of competitive play. Since the competitive play is what MOB is about, there is of course understandable requirements regarding recruitment.
Simple fact, most people don't possess the skills needed for competitive play.
BTW I can say this without being insulting because I know at least half the regs would kick my ass in a match since any skill I once had was quickly lost when I stopped playing every day.
I saw no reason not to create a little niche for those people who either don't have the required skills for competitive play or for those who like me just want to have fun. If anyone whats to leave and join another clan, no hard feelings and best of luck to you.

I don't know why Occ chose to reply to Silver the way he did but I would agree it was a lot more heavy handed than it needed to be.
I should also point out the only reason Silver would be kicked from a server requiring missionary is THEY didn't setup CI correctly. There is no legitimate reason not to allow MAC players on a missionary server, this is the whole reason that option is in the setup. If anyone had concerns about a MAC user they could easily force screenshots. Unlike PC's there are no MAC hacks that can bypass the screenshot function. If a MAC player is cheating it will show up in any screenshots forced on them. Silver said he would be more than happy to email in any screenshots that Hoods wanted to force on him. I don't know why that wasn't enough to settle the topic right there. Of course at this point I don't see why he would bother returning to your server anyway.
