No conspiracy sites this time... finally a skeptic that the mainstream news picked up on.

Yeah, thank goodness they can find wackos who believe in BS too!

The soft-spoken Queens chaplain ignited an uproar when he said a conspiracy may have been behind the World Trade Center attacks that killed more than 2,700 people, among them 343 FDNY members.

"I, as an individual, don't know who did the attacks," Habib, 30, told Newsday in yesterday's editions. "I don't believe it was 19 ... hijackers who did those attacks."

"It takes two or three weeks to demolish a building like that. But it was pulled down in a couple of hours," he said. "Was it 19 hijackers who brought it down or was it a conspiracy?"

The theory, popular in some Islamic circles, infuriated the FDNY's rank and file.

"It is an embarrassment to every New York City firefighter and painful to the families of the 343 we lost on 9/11 that this fiasco took place," Uniformed Firefighters Association President Stephen Cassidy said.

Notice, he is just a chaplain but puts forth the idea that is "popular in some Islamic circles" that it takes two or three weeks to demolish a building like that and 19 Arab hijackers couldn't have done it.
Needless to say, the professionals who know the fire business, ie firefighters, were outraged by his comments. Don't you think if the comments held even an inkling of truth the FDNY would be rioting because they lost 343 of thier own in what must be an American conspiracy?
I'm glad the news showed everyone that their are plenty of whackos out there who you may think is a normal, intlligent person, but can still believe total BS.

question 1: why is anyone that questions the government a nutjob?
question 2: why is everyone so offended? now this is something to think about, because even if it's NOT true there is NO REASON to get all defensive, and here's why: say your best friend gets murdered, and the FBI says "alright, we have our suspect, we're sending out a nationwide manhunt"... and they do... then a few weeks later some guy says, "sir, i don't believe that that was the man who killed your friend, there is evidence that points to this guy being the murderer instead." would that "offend" you, or "open up wounds"? wouldn't you WANT to know who really killed your best friend?
i hate how they try to get the message across that anyone who questions is anti-american... and anyone who doesn't like the current political leaders is anti-american or unpatriotic, when in reality it's the complete opposite. our country was FOUNDED on the idea of being able to speak your voice in disent, and protest/assemply, so the person that doesn't like our president and hates war can still be as patriotic as the guy that loves the president and loves war... being patriotic has NOTHING to do with liking your president or liking a war... it has to do with liking your country, there's a difference.

Just some random guy by his own admission doesn't know what happen.
The only reason this was even news is because of his Muslim background and the position he was going to take.
At least the newspapers mention the same Islamic Society who recommended him for the job pulled their support when they found out he was a nut.

question: Why should his being a muslim make a difference?
