Hi All!

Just stopping by to introduce myself. I've been having a blast playing on your Barabrossa servers lately. I can't imagine playing any other map nonstop, but that one just never seems to get old! One of these days I'll hook up my mike and join you on Vent.

I'm a 40 Year old Canadian fro Peterborough (about 90 minutes NE of Toronto). I've been in a couple of non-competetive clans. 3rd Canadian Airborne (3CA), and when that folded, was a founding member of the group that arose from the ashes, the Band of Old Bastards (BoOB's)

These are your forums, and it's none of my business, but in case you're interested, here's an outsiders view:

Your code of conduct states that all members should respect other members and the gaming community at large. A requirement for being a REG is to always maintain a good and positive attitude.
I find that many of you don't live up to these ideals. There seems to be an awful lot of hatred on this board, especially, but not exclusively, in the "war on terror" forum. Dissenting opinions are often met with hate filled, vitriolic insults rather than reasoned replies. This really doesn't seem like a very friendly place.

On your servers, far more than on other servers I have played on, "gay" "faggot" and "queer" are thrown around as insults. This is certainly not respectful to homosexual gamers, who are a part of the gaming community as well as society as a whole. When i pointed this out on the server, 4 or 5 people replied along the lines of "Good! I hate fags!" Is it clan policy that gays are not welcome on your servers? It seems that way.

As I say, they are your forums, and your servers. You pay the bills, so you're free to do as you wish. I just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth, in case anyone's interested.

Congratulations on reading our code of conduct, you are probably one of the few who actually took the time to do so. The conduct page really concerns how people act in the servers and matches, as that is what we focus on more than anything. In the forums there tends to be heated exchanges on a fairly regular basis. I'm not surprised by this, seeing as how the forum is made up of all types of people, each with thier own ways and views.

As for your questions about our disrespect of homosexual gamers, in 3+ years I've never heard one complain.
So I guess we are doing something right. LOL

I think you are reading way more into the gay remarks than anyone intends.
