While I don't deny that BF2 is a good game ( I know alot of people who love it), I prefer the infantry combat of COD2 to the vehicular combat of BF2. It just seems much more personal with the bolt action rifle than it does with a tank. I also feel like I spend too much time running to the fight and less time actually fighting in BF2.
