That's what is so odd about COD2. When the ex-2015 folks made COD after doing MoHAA there were a lot of things they changed to make the gameplay in COD better then MoHAA was.
The most glaring example is the infinite respawn of enemy troops until you get passed an invisible checkpoint. I seem to remember that was a complaint about the original MoHAA gameplay (especially in the last mission where you're stealing the MP44 prototype, although it was called something else). There's a spot as you're trying to leave the tunnels where infinite germans will run down the steps to kill you, unless you storm the steps and head back upstairs. In CoD, they specifically made it so that you didn't have to deal with that sort of nonsense. (At least, I seem to recall that in an interview.) But in COD2 single-play, I know there were a few spots where I'm pretty darned sure I was fighting infinite germans. Unless I got past a certain spot, I would get wave after wave of germans crawling out of the woodwork. -------------------- |
