A GRIPE ABOUT COD2 Options

i have some gripes and wonder if any1 else is seeing the same. i love when someone caps me from across the map with one bullet with a smg. when i fire on someone it takes nearly a whole clip if theyr moving (dont say head shots either).

ive also noticed that some players are twice as fast as the rest of the players (even partial sprint would be a huge advantage) and the guys who bunnyhop all around and at the last second fire and gt you with 1 shot is ridiculous! getting lucky once in a while is expected .being a great player maybe happen a few times. but more than 15 times a game is stupid!

i dont think punk buster is the answer either! allthough it kicks the newbs-it has been beaten since bf42 first came out !

if i die 38 times (sad!) i can a credit 20 of those deaths to being raped right at spawn! the game itself uses absolutely no skill,run around,shoot enemy! im sure weve heard all this before so ill quit my bitchen! i keep hear the word skill in cod2 -it doesnt belong there yet! ok i said it !(frustated)

Scarface is correct, any weapon with less than 40 damage can't kill in a single shot.
Be aware, many servers are using the powerserver mod or another one much like it.
Either one of these allow the admin to change the default weapon damage without the player knowing the weapon damamge settings have been changed.


For the cheating argument.
My opinion, take it or leave it is, the people who cry cheat are just as big of a problem as the actual cheaters, if not more.
I'll give you several examples of why I think this.
1) I'm originally from MOHAA. When mohaa 1st came out their were accusations flying all the time about aimbots. Fact is, there wasn't a working aimbot for mohaa until 3 maybe 4 months after the game's release.
That fact didn't stop anyone from crying about aimbots those 1st 3 or 4 months.
2) On the IW nation forum there is a topic talking about how many cheats have been downloaded for COD2.
The number was around 10,000. Everyone who wants to cry cheat because they got owned in a server use that number to claim there are 10,000 cheaters playing COD2. Guess what... Thats bullshit.
Look at it from a little bigger perspective.
A cheater isn't going to download 1 cheat and call it good, they are going to download them all to test them out. If you have 10,000 downloads, then split that between a dozen different cheat files. Your number is now under 850 cheaters downloading cheats. Guess what... thats still bullshit
You also have to include in that 10,000+ downloads, the number of times the cheat has been updated and downloaded again.
You also have to include the fact a certain percentage of people will download a cheat to see how it works & never use it during MP.
You also have to include how many people have downloaded every cheat to send to Activision/evenbalance so it will be included in PB when released. Also in that same number is the ones Evenbalance downloaded themselves when testing PB for it's COD2 release.
Cheating isn't near as rampant in COD2 as people try to make it out to be.
3) Then there is always the people who talk about the phantom\private cheats. During the time everyone was bitching about no PB in the game there was also the group of people talking about how PB doesn't do anything because it only blocks public cheats. This is true but most private cheats work the same way, it would have to be something completely new and yet unreleased otherwise PB would still likely block it.
PB goes beyond the simple md5 check of files.
For those why still want to ramble on about private cheats, I have this question.
Can YOU write a cheat to get by PB?
If the answer is no, then why the hell do you think everyone is doing just that.
I'm sure there is a limited number of people who write their own cheats that PB can't detect.
Just keep it in perspective, it's going to be such a minuscule number you will likely never run into them.
