curious to see what your fav ww 2 movie is BEFORE 1995 as saving private ryan is a given.

sorry been working crazy! in no way was i laughing at the beach scene! it was intense and glory was the same hellfighter (great movie by the way).to talk about upham-that was an important scene because if you hesitate even for a second some one will get killed.but the bayonet scene was even more intense because i actually was able to put myself in his place ,same with upham (i get very pissed but have to forgive him ).once again ill say it-im no coward what so ever but put in the situation of charging the beach ,taking on a batalion of germans with 10 guys or having a bayonet fight with a german twice my size,i wonder if id freeze ? i think thats what he did as a director is to try to get the viewer to put himself into alot of other guys shoes and ask himself questions? 15,16,17,18 years old! i couldnt even drink beer right at that age!
cross-your right about kwai and it pissed alot of guys off (the movie)because it wasnt just the bridge the real guys built it was an entire railroad and they were worked to death! the prisoners looked similar to the consentration camp jews. top secret -not to joke but i knew this one would come up?!@# this is a good topic! -------------------- |
