Lets clean up Cassino Options

It would be really great if we could get a few more mods on the Cassino server. Lately its been going to crap because of verbal abuse. Players getting angry because other players are doing better than them. I personally cannot play a single round with out being accused of cheating. This is just getting totally out of control. How about a zero tolerance policy?

It used to be just new players to the server, but now a lot of the regular players have picked up this same bad habbit. Something should be done because its becoming less and less fun to play on what used to be a really fun server.

Yes you're right about angry players in there... I don't show up as much as I used to lately, but when I do swagger into town like a Marshall, I mention to the banditos how things are run in these here parts.... Funny catch last week was a regular player -*** edit*** a regular visitor to the server****- getting a caution from me about excess cussing to which he replied
"I always swear on this server!"
"Then you'll always get kicked from this server.". I responded. He didn't get too huffy but inquired if these were 'new policies'... A mention to him not to go overboard with cussing calmed him down thereafter.

I'll try to show up more in there, but my work season is starting so I can't be there alot in the future....
Don't you want to try join the clan Magnificent7? I've known you for ages [kinda] in CoD--> since AHz servers.

i agree.

i had a talk with one of the trouble makers in MOB. should be cleared up. my apoligizes mag, i hope you don't put this on me.

from now on if i see anything, i always give the guy a simple warning, if he ignores then i kick him.

I was there when that happened, that was silly. I am moving away from Cassino to, i still play a lot, but i like Stocks, and the new map, Tuchola Forest (is that right spelling) more so now. Doesn't seem like theres a lot of respect for {MOB} guys on Cassino anymore.

I am in favor of closing cassino for more then one reason.

Now that PB is out for COD2 you guys should try to migrate... LOL.
I know this is the home server for a lot of new regs, and that is great, but it's one map. I have to admit that I was one of the guys that said this would be a great map to have when we first switched to UO. And it worked so well that we even had a 24/7 mohaa map (remagen) for a while that also did well. To me what's unfortunate is that we weren't able to expand to more TDM maps from the cassino map. It would be cool if all you guys were into TDM in general and started a UO TDM team. But, as I said, since there is finally a cod2 PB patch out, maybe you should try your luck at cod2. Oddly enough there is no Cassino map, which is odd, cuz they pretty much just copied all the other maps for cod2, even though they claimed they were new maps.
Plus, if we close Cassino it frees up space on our box. Which means either better quality for all our other servers, or possibly starting a new server, maybe a cod2 s&d or ctf. Or maybe something entirely new.

*edit* I should also say that I think the Cassino map did better than any one of us could have predicted. Thank you to all you loyal players.

I have no opinion one way or the other about closing the server but I did think I should supply a little info to help people make an informed decision.
About 2 months ago i started tracking CPU usage of all the game server, prior to this I assumed Barb would be the CPU hog. My assumption was based on my experience from my mohaa days were custom maps typically were more CPU intensive than stock maps. After reviewing the logs I was surprised to find Cassino was the most CPU intensive server out of all of them. My best guess is because of the graphics on Cassino.
On average Cassino half full uses almost as much CPU time as Barb when it full.

Hope you don't think about closing cassino!

Maybe put a spawn protection, i know that spawn killing is allowed on your server but maybe if we eliminate spawn rapping we would have less complaint!!

From what I've heard, the CoD2 patch has been a failure. Please don't jump too quickly to drop the Cassino server. If anything, I'd like to see Cassino stay on in rotation with another regular map. I know there's another thread covering that, so I'll stop here.

Cassino is a resource hog, but once smoke and tanks are off.. it's not too bad. Smoke kills a lot of maps.

killing cassino would upset quite a few people. not many MOB because i know none of you got into the whole UO TDM, but it was severely cramp what gaming of COD i have left....barb is horribly boring now. and i'm getting downright pissed off at all the damn tanks everywhere on every other map we play.

if i had CoD2 working, BG i'd be open for it. but it won't work for me.....all we need to do is severely tear down on guys who create havoc.

that means YOU, Wolf. i am very serious about if you do NOT stop your language i will kick you without hesitation. not only can you give MOB a bad name, you also make it seem alright for other regulars to do it "since the guy with the tags does" . i know i had a language problem too, but i have extremely cut down on it. and i'm not going to keep telling you to chill out. you have to learn some self-control. after all....its a game.

cassino is a good server and I see where lip is coming from. But another cod2 would be good. Although if the patch is not working then I would have to agree on keeping cassino open. It is the only server we have on UO without tanks.

i have nothing against tanks, i just think there's more to CoD:UO then maps that always have to have tanks.

i think a very strict policy for language on cassino would be a good thing. i don't think anyone reads/abides by the "rules" of our servers. i also hate when people complain about being spawnkilled.
