So I joined (volunteered) the Northern Virginia Minutemen this week. This should be interesting. Basically it sounds like my primary function will be to camp out 7-11s and work sites to take pictures of companies and their trucks that hire illegals immigrants. After verifying, the records are then sent into the IRS. My secondary position will be graphics and web stuff. Sounds promising. Just figured I'd try to action something to make a difference for my beliefs instead of just blowing hot air in these forums.

I second that, I may look into it. I live in a 10 unit apartment building. I am 1 of the only 2 white people renting. That's bad. I'm not racist. But I am concerned where this country is heading. These people will work, I will hand that to them. BUT that does not give them the right to send one relative across the borders legally, then after he works--makes money and establishes a place big enough for all of them to live then he drives back to texas and they hop over the border and come to live and work. I pay taxes as do you. I get taxed on anything and everything I do just about. They don't. I carry a concealed .45 at all times, and It really pisses me off when my family cannot attend school without being bullied or distracted by some illegal punks speaking spanish and acting like f***ing thugs. I'm like damn, I didn't know 50cent was hispanic and black too... Anyway. My little cousin came to my house the other day crying because she was walking home from school to visit me and one of the SOB's that lives in my building was riding through I highschool parking lot scoping out the game, and he saw her walking toward the complex. He circled the block and stared her down twice before she called me crying and I came outside and dealt with his issue... My town is a really small town, I have lived here all my 22 years. I went to highschool and was never in one fight, no one walked on me, I didn't walk on anyone.. easy. Now these thugs walk around starting trash with kids trying to go to school to learn. I want english taught in school again, not spanish. If I go to mexico are they going to put things in english just for me F*** NO! My point in all this is. I don't agree with people taking advantage of what we earn and pay for just because theres a hole in the gate and a flaw in the system. WE american citizens pay taxes for services. The list is long. If you help pay for them I don't care if you use them, nor you me. But i'm not going to pay for something and then let someone who didn't help out use/abuse it. As i stated before I am not racist, there are bad apples in every bunch, whether its' white.black.hispanic.pink.green.blue.purple it doesn't matter. Gonna do somthing, do it right or don't do it at all.

Oh, yeah and one more thing. You say oh, what could it hurt they make money here, and buy stuff here. True to and extent. But you got 1 or 2 guys working in US illegally for a family in mexico. They buy just enough to keep them going and send the rest of money to mexico. So let's see, a small single wide trailer rent is about $200 Food maybe $200 for two guys per month, and the construction job they are working pays $1400 per month? That's $400 spent statewide and one grand sent home for god knows what.

They found this illegal immigrant that had been living in this high school for awhile. Our country is so f-ing PC now that they praised him as a hero. Now if that guy had been a homeless veteran, he's probably be in jail right now.

I feel bad about people have a low standard of living and trying to improve their lives... I wish them all the best, just do it legally and pay taxes. Hilary Clinton said the other day, "even if it is illegal, they are just trying to provide for their families." Now that sounds all nice and dandy, but what are the chances of that excuse working for a US citizen? Can a busted drug dealer tell a judge, "I was just providing for my family"? Can the guy that steals your car next week say the same thing? I'll bet there's a lot of people breaking the law to provide for their families! The Enron execs could get off scott free!!! We're setting up a huge standard for this now.

Once this whole immigration bills passes or not, this country is going to be changing quickly. The standards will change and how we interact with foreigners will change as well. I'm wondering how well citizens' arrests hold up nowadays?

Well, I'm lucky enough to have moved away from the beltway. I'm 30 minutes west of McLean and most of those gangs are within 495 in Annandale and Alexandria.

Yeah, I agree. Completely. If I rob a bank, sell pirated software. Anything I'm going to jail, but if el puta does it it's ok... People have gotten so liberal or PC whatever it is. They have gotten away from the age old instinct of survival, Look out for NUMBER 1. Of course the political people don't care. there set for life. They don't care about a US citizen working 2 jobs at BK and MCdonalds trying to pay TAXES{Thier Paycheck} And he can't get a job at a factory or construction job because someone illegally is working there. They just drive around in there big SUVS making gas prices go up for all of us.
As i stated in the story above. I'm 22 i've lived my entire life in my town. The whole time i was growing up white's{german,irish,scotishetc..} were the majority. This town was damn near crime free... Except for speeding. Now whites are only 50% of the town, and Mexi's and blacks are 25%/25% and just the other day a mexican man in the ghetto shot a black dude over a drug deal gone bad. like 3 fricking blocks from were i live. The mexican guy was illegal, and was a known pedafile and sex offender. Don't you just love those honest illegals supporting their family. I have to younger female cousins, and they both very atractive girls. And they tell me all the time they are scared to death to go outside of their schoolhouse after ballgames at night. That is what really angers me...

second,where the hell do you live radiation? im in south florida and i live in a very nice nieghborhood about 5 minutes to the beach.but its %90 spanish and im an ahole (irish).we are worried about this state and country and am now moving to the mount of north carolina so i wont have nieghbors any more hehe! i want a small town so i can get invloved to keep it that way.anyway!

thing that bugs me is why do WE have to pay taxes for them!? if you dont pay you shouldnt stay! no english no here! hehe!

and yes they are learning to speak english in mexico because they live in poverty and want to move ahead ,unlike the idiots who think this country will change their language for them.you will always pick lettuce if you dont speak english!

So there are two white renters and 8 non white renters in your building. And that's bad. So presumably, it would, in your view, be better if there were more white people in the building and fewer non-whites. You would prefer your neighbors were white, rather than non-white.
You are concerned where the US is heading. I don't want to put words into your mouth, but I infer that your concern is that there are fewer whites around, and more and more non whites.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but anyone who holds these views IS a racist.

Every illegal worker has a boss that hired them illegally. Why do I hear so much bitching about people sneaking into the US to work, and no bitching about the people who hire them? What's the penalty for hiring illegals? (I'm serious... I don't know.) Is there one, or just the spin-off tax avoidance stuff?

As long as people can provide a better life for their families by sneaking into the US to work, they will do so.

As long as people can easily hire illegal workers to do dirty jobs at wages below what they can hire legal workers for, they will do so.

Who is morally worse; the man who breaks immigration laws because it's what he has to do to provide for his family, or the guy who hires that man illegally to save a buck or two?

Which would be easier, practically speaking: Physically preventing a mexican man from entering the US so that he can better provide for his family, or establishing a system of fines and enforcement so that the guy hiring illegals realizes they're actually MORE expensive than hiring legal workers?

The dirty truth is, many places in the US have economies that are addicted to cheap illegal labor. Were it to disappear, the economy would take a huge hit. The cost of labor would skyrocket, and the price of EVERYTHING go up accordingly.


People love to complain about illegal aliens ruining society, but are they willing to support a law that would fine them $1,000 for hiring Pablo to cut their lawn for $10 when Peter wants $40 to do the same job? I suspect not.

As for paying taxes... i suspect there's not an illegal worker in the US today that wouldn't jump at the chance to start paying taxes if it meant they could work legally. That argument is a red herring.

As for the growing use of spanish... businesses will start using spanish when it makes good business sense to do so. That's called free enterprise. Government at all levels will start to use spanish when they believe it will gain them votes. Thats called democracy. Which of these institutions do you have a problem with?

Hmm, I don't think a lot of them would jump at the chance to pay taxes. If you read the very first thread here of why I'm doing this... you'll see that it IS about busting the employers. I'm not just for taxing the illegals, I'm for legalizing them so they can be registered. We're so worried about sex offenders, terrorists, and pedophiles... yet, we don't seem to be concerned with people sneaking into our country. That's fucked up.

Yeah, well I guess I am racist. I have black friends, white friends, and I don't speak spanish so I guess I'm left out there. I agree on putting fines on employers. No I don't care who lives in my building. I just would like them to have the curteosy that I give to them. When it's late I don't play my music so f***ing loud that it vibrates pictures. I don't blow the horn in my car when people are trying to sleep. I don't leave things lying all around the complex. These things didn't happen until the new people came in. But you know I'm just one person. I can't stop the world. So I guess I'll just defend what I have by any means necessary and live.
