exploit? Options

Hey guys, A bunch of us were in Cassino today, yes I was loafin' lol. Lets see, Hell, Lipton, Choth, I think Churchhill, and bargod.....

Anyway, we found an exploit, may not be new news, but the guy using it was warned and politely stopped. I had these screenies for awhile so I thought I would post them to get some feed back. If you notice, the guy using this was able to see through the wall using the sites on his gun.

Exploit or just bad gaming habit?

Can you believe my screen shots worked lol...they sure didn't today in the Forest with Hunter, and Thomas, we was being cussed out in German lol.... anyway..check this out and comment please.

If he did a combination of keys to do that then it's called glitching, or an exploit, but if you just go there and prone then its a problem with the map itself.

I saw something like that a month ago. But it was on the 3rd floor near the burned out tank. The guy was 1/2 in the wall shooting. I had no idea how he did that. Thought it was a clitch in the map or something. I went back when no one was on to replicate the situation, and the wall was solid.

thats just the map - definitely not an exploit or anything .

but since you cannot shoot the person because of he is behind a wall make it an exploit?

I wonder what guidlines there is for that sort of thing.

no, if you would shoot there you can still hit his head - thats the same thing that one kid was doing in that one doorway the whole entire game. you could just barely see him but he would kill you before you could even aim up.



i don't think its an exploit . its just something you deal with.

Are any of the older guys having flash-backs to mohaa?

I'm sure if you look around their are probably more low walls where the same thing could happen.
Not what I would call a glitch but would consider cheap.
It's not as though you can't kill him. I'm sure their are several place in the map he's exposed to, plus an easy spot to throw a grenade.

I was in there yesterday and observed. Even with my typical naievity to who is exploiting a map exploit, I have to say that roof position in particular seems not to be deliberate exploit position. It's just a spot campers with MGs love to set up on. The spot itself is susceptible to fire from many angles and pretty exposed. All except from the large building at the opposite end of the map unless you have a sniper rifle or are a pretty good rifleperson. With this in mind, personally I wouldn't warn others from not setting up there since it is in a very exposed position generally.
So to avoid ambiguous calls by various admins on the map, should we vote here to let that 'innocent' spot go as ok to setup at? Like I said I won't be warning people not to use it.

He shot me like 5 times, and when I finally figured out where he was, I thought, this isn't right.

I was laughing through the whole afternoon with my scores... I think you meant someone else, a particular someone who was going crazy over me owning them continuously and Expressed it loudly-lol- Remember I was mimicing him???

Ok Choth, it is Frank Burns who does that thing in the building hallway, its almost all he does. He is a very nice person, but that 1 position allows him to control about 1/7th of the map, its really annoying at times. Best way to take him out is to snipe him or go around the map and kill him from behind.

Ya, the spot on the roof I can see as open to attacks all around, but the spot Choth was talking about only leaves one course of action.....an attack from behind. If he has buddies spawning over there, that will never happen. Kinda of hard to take him out with nade as well unless someone here knows how to toss one with such velosity that it travels in a straight like from across the map.

Ok, this brings me to this. Is it ok to do it from the roof like the screenies I posted? The majority seems to think not and I agree. I don't think the position Choth has pointed out is fair however so where do you draw the line?

That unfair spot I know zippo about; if you can post a screeny I'd agree with you I guess since you know its problem well.
The roof spot I have no problem with since I find it easy to kill campers that set up there from most spots.

Poor me, my constant giggling with my ownage brought out the beast in my opponents - I need back-up from other sane witnesses lol.... when dienamic gets caught up in Choth's maniacal schemes, it's all over!!!!
