An excellent win today with a victory in every quarter:

It is interesting to note that EFF had previously beat HighBallerz which was #1 last week and is #2 this week.

It was obvious from previous matches that EFF preferred to camp in their selected RailStation map. We decided to play it back on them by also camping. There was great communications among the team so that enemy movement could be traced until a shot could be taken. By the end of the map we had a nice 9 point lead.

EFF knew they had to be aggressive in Carentan and we stepped up our play to match. As you can see, we won the first quarter of that map adding another 9 points. By the last quarter they really became desperate. Initially they tried to split into two pairs positioned at opposite ends of the map with the hope of getting some spawn kills. When that did not work, they started a run and gun campaign with the whole group. That approach gave us our best quarter score.

Finally, a special tip of the hat goes to Big P. This was his first COD2 match and as you can see, he came out with guns blazing to take first position in the first quarter.

And I have to tell you that getting that 0 - 0 score was probably the most difficult quarter I have ever played. Remember that our strategy was to camp until someone came into range for shooting. My position was in a stairway waiting for someone to come by. While I could hear and report noise around me, I had limited visibility. After 15 mins I was beginning to see double (ask Shadow what this is like). I was so worked up after those 15 mins that I asked Genetics to take my place. I'll take run and gun anyday but this approach worked for the team.

CoD2 TDM seems to be boring! The team points barely go past 40 in most. Anyways good job guys!

I believe you are misreading the chart. The right axis is the cumulating Point difference between the two teams with the curved line showing the result after each quarter. The left axis is the team points for vertical bars showing the quarters.

Team points for a 30 min map typically run from 70 to 300 points. The 33 to 24 score at the end of the first map was by far the lowest score we have ever had in match play. With a different game style in every quarter, stess was high, adrenaline was high and team excitement was high - hardly boring.
