Joker, Did you know that little girls were in the Hitler Youth too?My mom was required to join and she was i believe 16 at the time.At first the Hitler youth was passive..But in time they became very radical..Teaching how to be a good german,and faithfull to the father land.Be distrustfull of the "Jews",blue eyes and blond hair was a sign of purity.Young boys were taught how to use anti aircraft guns,and how to target artillery.as well as small arms training.To a young kid 12 to 16 years old it was patriotic be a part of the Hitler Youth..And kids being Kids gobbled the nazis propaganda right up.How could they have known they were just being used and programed for the extermination of an entire peoples The Jewish people.My mom had a few jewish girls in her school classes and then one day they were gone..To this day she wounders if they ever servived the those terrable times.

My mom remembers the night of broken glass,and the burning of the books,and asked her parents "How could they do such things"?Her parents answer was Never ask those questions in public.She did"nt know,she was only a kid.Her parents new otherwise comments like that can get you sent away for reprogramming or worse get you killed. Yes the Holycaust did happen!!!

You know the Iranians they question the Holycaust and say it never happend.I disagree My MOM WAS THERE,and was lucky to have survived to tell her true stories and pss it on to me..She see's the Iranians duck walk down mainstreet and parade thier military hardware in Tehran and it gives her flashbacks of old Nazi Germany...They are the Evil ones of today..

Maybe we are all doomed to relive history all over again..I hope not... God I hope not....

Great personal insight Mechanic... thanks! I get absorbed in personal accounts from people in the middle of turbulent events. A couple of my Jewish friends have told me shocking/tragic stories their parents [as kids in WW2 Europe] told them.

Unfortunately we do relive this history again and again - post Holocaust. Whenever beasts arise and noone with the power cares to stop them, 'holocausts' are reborn - Look at Cambodia[khmer rouge], Rwanda [800,000 butchered in a few months], Yugoslavia[ethnic cleansing], little mention made about Mao-tse tung and his 'starvation policy' /genocide of millions of non-urban Chinese after he took over [kinda like pre-WW2 Stalin slaughter of Ukranians].

Those Iranian Fundamentalists are truly nut cases... unfortunately the moderates/liberals in Iran [alot] have no real leverage to shake the leadership up [it seemed they had some say several years ago, but now it all looks lost]. You have to wonder if n.Korea and Iran will be the updated version of Nazi Germany/Japan/Italy pact in the future. I mean everyone scoffed at these guys in the 30's and at doomsday predictions of Hemingway and Churchill regarding the the rise of Fascist states. If we allow these morons to get nuke bombs, it'll be like Leagus of Nations twiddling their thumbs in the 1930s when the jackboots marched into Manchuria, Alsace-Lorraine, Ethiopia, and the Sudetanland.....

It makes you wonder how many recurring 'doomed' strikes do we get?
