My intent was not to insult non members or even DG. If there are nonmembers out there that think it was my intent I'm sorry. Contact me and I'll send you a cookie. Back to the topic.

I would say first ban = 2 weeks. Probation after that. If it occurs again, 2 months.

Ban his guid for a bit.
let him play on his dads. if he screws up there, than the point will finally hit home. Troop bought a separate copy for Marine, so things would stay on the up and up. Honorable. Now things have changed. they are on a down swing. Sad but true. it is a twenty dollar lesson, sort of. It is not like his game is defunct and cannot be played. He just must go somewhere else to play and act the fool. Again, youth is not an excuse for ignorance. If he is 14-15 years old, he is scarily close to driving an automobile, and that is crazy super nuts scary. ------------------------------- |

I to think a temporary ban is needed. For at least 4 weeks though, c'mon, its his second ban. Also, Im sure these things that he is doing probably will not accur again, but it will be something new. He needs to be on pins and needles apon a return.
Regs should not have been upset with any decision made by MOB. Dont know for sure, but from what I hear, the main difference between MOB and Regs is that MOB members pay for the servers and Regs dont. If that is indeed the case, MOB has the right to conduct themselfes and clan any way they seem fit. Be glad they even allow their tags to go out to people for free membership. You need to act as if you were a MOB member when wearing Regs tags. If I were in MOB and I had all these Regs leaving and starting shit because of this issue, I would be very pissed and want all of the people banned. I like most of you guys and its hard to say, but really man. Its like your shitting where you eat. You like to play on MOB servers and liked to be Regs, but because a few members got a hair up their ass and wanted to pull away, you are following them? Where is your loyalty to the MOB? -------------------- ![]() |

I tend to try to mediate things when ppl get upset and you have two different view points. I have no vested interest in either way. I do think there's room for both sides to meet in the middle so that everyone feels that they got what was fair. That's why I suggested a specific time frame on the ban. It teaches him he has to follow rules and it punishes him for being disrespectful etc. With having his tags removed already this would be a fair punishment for both sides to accept. Again, I dont know the specific amount of time that would be right. I would think at least a month. If that doesnt work then perhaps ban him for good. He's never had any recourse to his actions. That's why it hasnt changed. But I'm just a [Reg] what would I know?

Well, this is pretty much what happened to any kind of conversation in MOB over the last few months where anyone disagreed in any way with DG or Silver. Only DG could get so upset over a fact like "not being a member" and considerate some kind of horrible insult. I think CudaMom pretty much summed up what I was trying to say quite clearly. And she never accused Silver of directly recruiting from our servers or forums or anything, he knows better than to do that. But his intentions behind his post were that he was clearly trying to act like we are all horrible people, and we did something that he would never do. That is why he left. Because we are bad people and his shit doesn't stink. Basically he was doing some revisionist history. I don't care much for that.

I think that some more research may be in order Nothing. I see people complaining when DG says that they are just a REG, I see the same people saying nothing when a MOB member says that MOB doesn't have to defend its actions, "especially to REGS." Where's my loyalty to MOB? Interesting thought. Where's MOB's loyalty to REGS? REGS do contribute to paying for the servers. Regs started the most successful TWL team in MOB (HHS). REGS try to help police the servers. I personally have backed decisions that I didn't agree with for the good of the clan. There are MOB members who try to involve and respect REGS, Bargod is a good example. I very much respect him for that. Others I think see them more in the utilitarian sense. They keep the servers full, provide some funding and some help. And still others see them as people who don't matter at all. When more than a few people fall into that category, organizations decline and breakdown. Loyalty you ask. My rich uncle (SAM) taught me some years ago that authority can be delegated, responsibility can't and loyalty must to be earned. I believe that everyone starts out equal. But that's just me. I believe that everyone's opinion matters until they prove otherwise. I believe that decisions should be open and clear. For the record I am not leaving because of a "wild hair." I am leaving because I've been told that my opinions don't matter and I have someplace else to go. I have a friend who once left a job with a postit on a monitor that said 'GONE." Sadly, I'm far too passionate and verbose for that. miked -------------------- ![]() |

Hey Mike,
Let me get this right. Your basically upset that MOB made a decision without taking your vote or all Regs vote? I believe that My Congressman and State Senators make decisions without asking me as well. They are in office to make decisions on My behalf. MOB runs the clan and Regs help them. MOB makes the decisions and Regs help enforce them, right? Where does it say anywhere that MOB needs to check with Regs before making Banning decisions? I have seen many bans go in place right away after someone posted a thread about breaking some rules in the past and I dont remember hearing all this comotion about it. Just curious to me that this happed to a Regs member and there were some Regs that it seems as if they were already on their way out. Sounds like a helpful reason to try to part ways and others like yourself are along for the wrong reasons. Really, if there were guys that were Regs and are no longer Regs for reasons of how the clan was running the clan, I dont see how these guys would want to turn in their tags, but still want to play on the clan's servers? Sounds like they are just following certain people. What happens when or if that new clan does not make it long, are all these guys going to want to join MOB again? That was what I was touching on earlier. This is all really some stupid bullshit for some to leave a clan over. There is definately more behind it than the ban of this guy. -------------------- ![]() |

This is totally off topic, but where did your friend work, mike. I worked at a place where the supervisor left in the middle of the shift. People were looking all over for him. All he left was a post it on his monitor saying "gone fishin'". Best walk out I've ever seen.
OK, back on topic. The regs oppinions count on a lot of topics. This was one MOB took upon itself. There is a very long history with MM and I don't think very many regs are fully aware of that history. This wasn't discussed amoung us while we were voting, but that is why I didn't insist it be brought to the regs for their oppinions. We did get to see quite a few oppinions of regs in the original complaint thread, however, and I did consider them. But since many people who thought he deserved another warning weren't around for previous warnings, I had to go with my own belief that he will continue to cause problems as long as we let him play on the server. -------------------- |

I dont really know how to quote this site thing too well, so I will mention here my comments to what you said. 1. I was only stating what I heard from some Regs about not paying. Is there Regs that dont donate? 2. What the hell are you talking about here DG. I really liked playing with you and dealing with you all the time, but becasue I disagree on whats happening here you throw me under the bus? First, I dont have to back off shit thats in the general forum and not in the MOB area as you pointed out earler. Second, you seem to be the one stirring the pot here. Im only replying my opinion here. I am part of this community and do voice my opinion. I dont EXPECT MOB to take my voice here as what they should or shouldnt do, only shed my little opinion on it. I think that kid was a real ass when I played him/her. Then to use remarks about Gay to someone because they didnt like them or got owned by them. There should be some punishment, Regs or not! I remember hearing allot of Regs pissed when someone called you a Bitch once. But that was ok because you were still part of the clan then right? 3. No MOB members would be here posting anything if some of you guys were not trying so hard to start these problems within the clan itself. Being in a clan means to respect their rules, if you dont like it, leave. No need to drag other members into your "clan" and post all these arguements on a topic that should have nothing to do with the reason why all of you are leaving. -------------------- ![]() |

Any chance of everyone dropping this? It's getting beyond silly at this point. If you want to post about something other than MM go to another topic, start a thread, write a book, whatever. I think this has gotten as much usefull feedback as it is going to get. The rest is name calling etc. By the way.. MY DADDY CAN BEAT UP YOUR DADDY!!!!!!!
