Joe Walsh does this thing he learned from pete townsend called rhythm lead which is terribly impressive and ridiculously difficult. but that is why they are pete twonsend and joe walsh, and I am me...

That is one sweet guitar. My dad use to play the guitar, when I was younger I broke all the strings off while pretending to know what I was doing. He never let me use it again..lol for that matter, I have not seen it in years, I think he locked it up.

You should take some lessons, might be a good start.

I have been taking lessons, since the end of June, as a matter of fact.

and Pez, I have hit some tab sites, I am starting to be able to play Stormy Monday by The Allman Bros (version from live at fillmore east), Whipping Post (from the same album), Melissa, Jessica, Hot 'Lanta (fillmore east), and the intro to sweet child o mine by guns n roses.

Oh, and to cvlear up any confusion its not a Gibson, its an Epiphone.

Ya, I'm 34. I started playing around 5ish. My grandfather worked his whole career at Martin guitars up in Nazareth, PA and my dad has been playing his whole life... just kind wore off on my right away when I was young. biggrin.gif Guess having so much access to guitars and stuff made it easy.

good stuff...

most of the tab sites have been hit by the MIAA about the tabs being stealing of the music... no joke.

slash tears it up, so best of luck with that 15th fret...

oh and to clear it up further.... gibson owns epihone....

In case anyone is interested, I'm involved in the roots of a new company that will provide high-end guitar rental. We're setting it up so that clients can have a guitar delivered to their house or to a hotel during a business trip/vacation for a week. I can't divulge the name/site/or stock yet till we go public... sorry. But I'm really looking forward to cleaning and tuning all the fine guitars we put in stock. Plus, we'll be running this operation out of an office in my girlfriend's warehouse which is 5 minutes from our house, so I'll be able to "borrow" a few guitars here and there. biggrin.gif

I'll fill you guys into more details sooner than later, we're looking to be fully operational by Q4 2006.

Flatliner, we might have to start a band! You like polka right? tongue.gif

Speaking of polka dots, at first i was going to buy a Chuck Berry Signature Fender, which has black polka dots on a white base.. or an SRV Fender, but I decided on the les paul.

I have the intro fingering down i just gotta work on the speed, and i need to get thicker strings.. the paul has the stock ones that it came with, i think they are like 6's or something, im used to playing 11's or 12's so right now i can bend the shit out of the strings..

Yes he did use a guitar like this one. This is not the original!!! This is a replica. Rhoads was not married. "If" anyone would have given Wylde Randy's guitar, It was most likely his sister or his mother. Nice try on that.
