Make sure to check out our Frontline map!

And if you enjoy COD 2, we have some serious players and maps.
Thanks Shred and Burn! I have checked out Frontline, and that seems to be a totally fantastic map, although it seems that everytime I look, it is not that very populated.

CoD2 is a sensitive subject for me. I loved the single player game, but the multiplayer pissed me off so much that I wrote a huge post on it at the Gamespy forums. I thought it was a rediculous, huge step back from UO -- no vehicles, no arty, etc. With that said, it looks like some patches and some mods have made it more appealing, and I will be checking out MOB CoD2 servers in a few weeks. I just hope my connection speed is as nice as the UO servers! Hope we get to meet sometime. Best wishes.

Thank you, but I'm afraid that full compliance will be difficult, as I'm sure you understand. Wouldn't be very challenging if I just sat back....However, have been owned by you before, I suspect trying and sitting down are basically the same thing! Best wishes.!

If you're interested in getting on vent with us here is some information for you:

Our Ventrilo Host Name is
vent3.clanservers.com

Send a PM to
OldManMike.
or

Thank you T/A6Pak! I have seen you around wrecking people and things I pretty sure LOL! This is probably a silly question reeking of noobitude, but could you tell me how ventrillo works? Is it a program that lets you speak to one another via headset, or am I totally off base? Thanks in advance, and looking forward to seeing you on the field.

Indeed Bunny! We've played a good bit together, as I recall. Looking forward to more!

There aint no stinkin' sharks in CODUO! tongue.gif

I shall call you BRUCE! Sharks should be called Bruce, not Rafterman.....oh what's that?

......I think I hear an ambulance!

Just kidding! Some of my best friends are lawyers. Welcome to you, sir!! smile.gif

LOL! Very funny, and thanks. Do you play on Tuchola S@BOT? I think I have seen you before, but not sure where....Anyway, fear not -- not only do I not know how to shark on a map (i couldn't cheat if you paid me I'm so technically inept), but I'm not really the prototypical lawyer -- Im a commercial litigator, never do personal injury, although kicking ass and taking names is definitely part of my job description. Now I just have to make that work in UO....not as easy when the Red Army is storming your bunker -- much tougher than defense lawyers...

Oh yes, I play the forest. Just haven't been in lately. I will make it a point to get in and play a round or two with you, Rafterman! Good to have you here!

BTW, ventrilo (Google it) is voice over internet. If you are running windows xp 32 bit, you will need the client side download (win i386 32bit ver. 2.3.0). Once you have it downloaded and installed, you will most likely see how to get it all running, but if you have difficulties, just post or pm most anyone here and we can get you going.

You might want to invest in a headset with microphone for this. A stand-alone microphone and speakers works, but it isn't the best and after a while you will wish you had the headset, I promise! Look forward to having you on vent!

Hey Rafterman welcome to the {MOB} forums!
I can relate, there's nothing better than going in and popping off a few rounds to relieve your stress after a long day. My wife is the same way when it comes to playing COD UO….. she just doesn’t understand.

LOL! We would all be rich! I don't think most spouses "get it." I tried to explain that the sound of rolling arty accross a devastated Russian lanscape is very relaxing, particularly in a target rich environment, sort of like a spa treatment. The look I got was priceless! She said I needed therapy. I responded that this IS therapy!

S@BOT -- Thanks for the tips! I have a headset already, I just need to figure out how to use it. I will try setting it up this weekend, and will follow the instructions on the FAQ to get the password information.

This may sound even more silly, but what does "MOB" actually stand for??? I don't see it posted prominently anywhere on the site (I suspect by design) and have, frankly, been too embarrassed to ask until now.

Thanks again, and looking foward to gaming with you!

Welcome to the forums!

Thanks! I have played with you before I think, and it's pretty nifty that you have two possible names (i've seen the pancakes tag before -- I specifically remember getting shot by you and thinking: "if you mess with the Pancakes, you get the syrup!") Looking forward to playing more.
