It is most inspiring to hear how that 76 year old professor used his body to block the door so that those Virgina Tech students could escape.
I'm sure the Romanian people are most proud of this hero. Old Man Mike |

So true, so true. Isnt it amazing that an obviously twisted soul like Cho will set out to destroy and defile life in general, yet there always seems to be that one story of a victim that overshadows the cowardice committed? Doesnt make any of it right, but it at least gives you a ray of hope. |

I get very upset with weak minded people like Cho and other cowards, like the 9/11 hijackers.
These people only get the opportunity because they catch us off guard. Otherwise they would be a stain on the pavement. This professor had the balls to take this guy head on. That takes a lot of courage. It takes no courage to load a gun. This post has been edited by Shred and Burn: 05/06/07 7:51am |

Has any one caught the history channel version detailing the VT shooting , it was very well done. they interviewed the kids in the class that watched the teacher block the door. they also interviewed the police, the roommate and all others involved and went out of their way not to make him into some cult hero for copy cats. i agree with you mike, that was a teacher who knew his job was to take care of those kids!
the thing i found interesting was his roommate said he would've never guessed ,he was a quiet guy. the only one was one of his teachers read a paper of his that was "kill this kill that " she tried asked him to see someone but obviously that wasn't enough. this day and age that kid should ve been flagged . after watching ,i also have to say for a small police dept ,they didn't do that bad a job. it was a wild goose chase really. they sought after the boyfriend (logical) and when they heard the call on the shots fired quickly responded with IMHO every available man.the fact the school only sent an email but didn't enforce a total shut down of the school campus , which should be mandatory, is the reason the kids and teachers were there in the first place . im no detective but if 2 students are murdered ON CAMPUS and you have not apprehended a suspect yet -school should be closed for the day This post has been edited by UNDEAD 1: 05/06/07 10:21am -------------------- ![]() |
