Hi All,
I just bought the Logitech 350 Premium USB headset running vista Ultimate. On my previous headset (SB Live normal plug ins) when people are walking to my left it sounded like they were left, when they were shooting in front of me that is where the sound came from. Now with this headset I have sounds coming from all over. People shooting from the rear (sounding like they are to my right) Walking behind me (really coming towards me) I was running with Miles Fast 2D sound, then tried Creative Eax3, 2 and just EAX but COD2 keeps just going back 2 miles 2D positional and still the same thing. I can't find any software to download so don't know how else I could configure the sound. The only sounds that are correct are ones coming from my player, any other player is way off. Please Help!!! -------------------- ![]() |

I had a very similiar problem with my headset, I could not find a reason for their lack of accurate directional sound. I looked everywhere and thought it was a sound card or software issue too.
Then my son bought the same headset as mine (logitech) and I listened to his and they were perfect. I was pissed, so I re-checked mine........... Long story short, I would suggest turning the headset around and flipping the boom mic over. In my case, I had the Left ear phone on my right ear and so on and so forth. Now they work fine, LOL! BTW, they are not marked as such and I had never encountered a problem like this before either. The mic was already in the position that led me to believe I had it right to begin with straight out of the box. Try that and see what happens. Was just curious, did you find you were wearing them backward as was I?
I re-read my post and I think I could have simplified by saying that if the mic is positioned on the RIGHT side of your head/mouth, then you are wearing them correctly and your directional sound problem should be eliminated. |

If for some reason you have to return the logictech headset... Make sure you buy the Plantronics head set the next time. I had the logitech which just stopped working... and Cross told me about the Plantronics set. I went out and bought it and it works amazing, they are made for gamers.
