 Smurfing MOB with admin powers, what's the point? |

I witnessed ssgtfazz2111 exploiting the R3 minefield by driving a jeep numerous times into the minefield successfully but killing himself on the way out. Several Russian players were watching him. I saw no MOB on at the time so I warned him 3 times to no avail. I gave him a final warning before I went to kick. To my surprise the kick did not take. I checked pb_power and lo and behold there was someone with 100 points. It was "  ". The happy face smurfer. I typed in several times asking for admin help. No response.What's the point of having an admin in the game that chooses to be anonymous? I can't admin if someone else has more points and yet I got to enjoy only a couple of minutes of gameplay because I spent the rest of the time taking screenshots and trying to communicate with a REAL admin. I don't mind taking on admin responsibilities (I figure it's a part of being in MOB), but this time my efforts were completely wasted and so was my game time. Unfortunate to say the least. If someone has the points and doesn't have any intention of using them, perhaps they don't need them!

I agree. I was there myself. After the incident with Sgtfazz, there was this other idiot that kept hiding our own vehicles and tanks in the minefields, I warned him not to and he called me an idiot. I also warned him several times and went to kick, but could not. There was a player in there named ABoy! and he had 100 points. I asked several times who he was, but he did not answer. He did by the way complain to me for paking G3, lol. I told him we needed help to kick, and he finally assisted.
I really dont like the idea of Admins smurfing. It seems as if it happens allot lately. If someone is warned then kicked by a name other than MOB, how does that look? --------------------  |

This is an educated guess but I think that may have been shadow. Aboy anyway. Dunno about : ) that could be another of his names. He has quite an assortment of names so that could be one as well. I could be wrong about it being Shadow as well...

I agree with Nothing that a non-MOB kicking someone doesn't look right - not to mention that we might have to explain why apparent non-MOB folks have admin rights. It seems inappropriate to me. So, I'd suggest either...
1- our Admins carry MOB tags consistantly, or 2 - if its to "anonmously patrol the servers", then we should include that in our FAQ and automated server messages to get the "best bang for our buck" (prevent crime rather than just respond to it). -------------------- Clancey

first off ,it wasn't me-hehe. second wheres the screenshots guys? first you warn and you take the screenies, while you warn you get his guid ,this way if the kick doesn't take place you have evidence-if the kick does take place you post it here as to who how and why AS EVIDENCE . this is how your supposed to handle these things.this is why things got out of hand.its supposed to be posted so if the person kicked/banned has a problem with it they can take it up in forums.
normally on stocks a player caught out out of bounds is warned to get in bounds if he doesn't listen or its not his first time - kick , post and a ban could be warranted . if your having a problem with someone there is always someone on vent or in forums ,I've been pmd from xfire before to spec someone. as for srgtfrzz ,whats his deal? hes played there problem free for a long time. why is every one doing this out of bounds thing? the other night i witnessed "Heinz" doing it but had no clue he was trying to do that,just thought he was slow. -------------------- |

Before sgtfazz211 did that out of bound trick, he said "Hi" to Majorhavoc and then "It´s Anthony" I mean, wasn´t it Majorhavoc or some1 else, that told that sgtfazz is his cousin or nephew or something like that, long time ago. Could it be that old case, that someone else was playing on his PC? (Yeah right
 ... you say) Sgtfazz is a looong time player on Barb and has previously been 99,99999 % problem free, why all the sudden he would start to screw around? Bad dress day??? I have witnessed that minefield trick on our Barb server earlier and it was done by a person closely related to MOB. So we should take care, that nobody of us or our close ones does it on Barb, atleast not on public server. It may encourage others to do so too because they see it´s possible.  now I said it.....--------------------    |

There was a time when problems like this got fixed by a great guy. I miss that guy.
Before accusing anyone you should get GUID's and what not. Screen shots and demos are a good start. Note the time so that when you contact Mike he has an easier time looking in the logs to find people. Just saying... --------------------   |
