Looks like MOH Airborne is not only going to have punkbuster but DMW anti-cheat as well. Here's a good recent review by Rudedog from 8-01-2007, based on actual gameplay - http://www.fpsadmin.com/forum/printthread.php?t=12959.

I hope everthing is good to go with the patch. I was expecting
this game to be the ONE to take over for COD:UO which is getting old by todays standards.... JIM -------------------- |

i think ill hold off till its patched ,sounds kinda lame imo . how long has ea been making pc games now ?they didnt put anything into the mp side of the game ..at all really. the fact it sounds like there will be no support makes me wonder . consoles arent taking over ,the non gamer guys upstairs are strangling the pc gamers with crappy games and support. really discouraged

I still can't wait for the game that makes the enviroment truly destructable. I want to be able to start a multiplayer map where the town/area actually looks pristine, and when we're done it looks like the burnt out/blown to pieces villages like we see in current maps. You see, I want to see *us* destroy it, not the village come pre-destroyed and we can't even move a park bench with a 40 tonne tank. The problem is that "realism" in a game continues to only mean the prettinesS of the graphics, not the interplay with the environment, and I mean more than being able to kick around an occasional paint can or garbage can. Make a map that can be blown to pieces, make it that if I shoot a house with a tank enough it'll actually fall down on one side, that wooden fences break when I drive into them, gernades blow doors off hinges when I throw them, etc. Is this a hard trick? Oh yeah, I'm sure, but it's possible but only if they stop maxing out the cpu and graphics card completely on making very pretty, but in reality lifeless environments. OK, end rant. I still enjoyed the clip. Nice weapons sounds. -------------------- ![]() |

MoD, that day will come probably sooner than later. That type of
realism takes millions of lines of extra code but gaming is heading in the right direction. Every year it gets better and better. In the Company of Heros RTS game, we have a lot of it. In FPS games, things are just now starting... JIM -------------------- |

There are new cards coming out dedicated to physics Agia or something like that.... on the newer motherboards you not only have 2 PCI E Slots for SLI but a third for future expansions for a THIRD video card. Most likely a physics engine that will allow more of what you so desire. Now just don't bitch when you have to pay $3k or more to have a machine to play it.

I didn't see any weapon cross hairs in the video. I wonder if the game has them or if they were turned off. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

Stand Corrected Bronze is free but only allows one server to be scanned
DMW3 Bronze is a reduced-feature version of the current DMW3 Silver Scanner. The following features are included: * The ability to scan one server * Auto-Kick, which is permanently on * Server Administrators are able kick players from their server * Server Administrators are able to manually take screenshots of players * The same cheat protection as the DMW Silver and Gold versions http://dmwworld.com/view.php?page=viewarti...le=pressreeases Gold Accounts When DMW first announced that the DMW3 Scanner software would be available for subscription, approximately 80 Medal of Honor clans took the step and paid a subscription for the service. These clans were then classified as DMW Gold clans in recognition of their commitment to a cheat-free gaming community. This community of Gold Clans have helped DMW to develop the Scanner software by constantly testing the program and reporting any bugs and flaws that they find. Their requests for features to be incorporated into the Scanner have also played a key role in developing DMW3 to be the most user-friendly and functional Scanner on the market. Subscriptions for Gold Accounts are closed and will never be re-opened. Silver Accounts Silver Accounts require an annual subscription fee, and can be purchased by clicking the link called Buy Scanner in the DMW World Menu. Silver Accounts allow their users to: * Scan multiple servers * Enforce a local ban list * Take automatic screenshots * Send rcon commands, including map changes and passwords * Allow trustees to control the scanner remotely through the DMW3 Web Panel * Request support in the Silver Members-only forums Bronze Accounts Due to Developement of DMW4, We have stopped development of the free bronze scanner and this product has now been discontinued. http://dmwworld.com/view.php?page=faq&faq=36&lang=1 -------------------- |

The single-player demo is HERE!!!!
I'm downloading it right now from Fileplanet. Here's the link: http://www.fileplanet.com/179453/170000/fileinfo/Medal-of- Honor:-Airborne-Demo Hang on, maybe Fileplanet jumped the gun on the demo. It seems to be password-protected. And now they've taken down the above link. Oops. This post has been edited by steel: 08/23/07 12:23am -------------------- [img][/img]
