140,000 downloads in less than 72 hours - UNBELIEVEABLE
Played it a bit but was never much impressed in COD single player games. Multiplayer was always the way to go in the COD game series..... JIM -------------------- |

mine was doing the same,i kept getting reboots myself and then was getting an error mes stating cod 2 has crashed, wierd! Never got a message that stated anything about COD2. But McAfee identified about 7 or 8 files that were trojans. Interestingly, they showed they were associated with programs that had been on my computer for a long time. The Trojan was BWE. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

very easy for them to beat airborne being airborne isnt even finished yet ,lol . turns out were waiting on another patch that isnt coming , ea isnt answering any posts -people are pissed. i am for giving in and buying it.
i am however having problems with my computer still even after uninstalling the demo. from the logs, ive had a problem since the day i dl it though. the error mesage im getting refers to an unknown driver . the day after i dl the demo i kept getting xfire error mesages saying the game was shut down improperly even though it wasnt ,then while i was playing i kept getting a error mes saying cod2 was crashing ,now if im idle for awhile it reboots. any one have any ideas? I dl'ed the demo from yahoo and have played at least 10 times with no problems. I wonder if the people with problems all dl'ed from the same site and picked up a bug.

I also dl'ed the demo from yahoo, the day after it came out. No problems so far at all, and I've played it probably 5 times. I've been in our coduo servers many times since the dl, but not our cod2 servers, so I'll try that.
BTW, as I'm under a strict budget since retirement as a computer engineer earlier this year, I found a way to pre-order and pay for COD4. I traded in one of my old xbox's and some games at Gamestop. I'd bought it used for a song anyway so no big deal. But now I even have credit at the store left over. Yea!! While I was at Gamestop, I asked the clerk how sales of MOH:Airborne were doing. He gave me thumbs-down on the game and made a face. He told me they've passed their sales-window, that even if they patch it to where everyone loves it, that customers are passing it by for COD4 in droves. That was about what I expected. -------------------- [img][/img]

Downloaded from 3Dgamers and it appears to play very well. Went back to COD2 and had no problems.
The only thing that appeared to not be working was the SLI mode. Even with the "Dual Video Card" option set to Yes, the game was still only using one card. I'll have to do a little looking around the COD4 forums to see what others have to say about it. I've already reserved a copy of the game for the MOB server so that we can hit the ground running at the release date. Old Man Mike |

I was playing Modern Weapons TDM this morning and my computer simply reset itself. Thought I'd post about it here, since other folks have been experiencing this since running the cod4 demo.
I ran the cod multifixer, with the cod-coduo option, and so far, my computer hasn't crashed again. To be fair to cod4, between my running the demo and now, there's been other activity on my computer... Quicktime was updated, Hotmail was updated, there was a WindowsXP update, and of course my virus checker (AVG) updates every morning. -------------------- [img][/img]
