These past few months have been so depressing for My Family. As you know from the start of this post, we had lost our 6 year old cousin in October. Last month our Grandmother had passed. She was 78. It was so sad for us as we were really close with her. No matter the age, its always hard losing a close loved one.

Now today, its probably the hardest day for my wife. Her best friend since she was 8 years old was in a bad accident. I had worked with her for many years and felt like she was a little sister to me. Right now she is in a coma. Its induced because of the internal bleeding she has. She had a 9 month old baby girl Madison. Madison did not make it. Today is the wake for Madison, and her mother does not even know.

Those of you that live near Chicago know that Thursday was a very bad snow day here. Our friend slid into a ditch. A tow truck had come to pull them out and then they were on the side of the road. We have no idea why she was waiting on the side of the road, but she was. A snow plow had came and plowed them off the road.

My wife is 8 months pregnant. She has been on bedrest for the last month and a half due to complications. We are insisting that she does not go to the wake because we dont think its healthy for her. She has been devistated enough at home over this and to imagine her seeing baby Madison is too horrific.

I really hope what they say about it coming in 3's is true. I dont know how much more of this we can take. Such a bad last few months for us.

You and your closest sure have had your share of affliction. I'm so sorry to hear. Looks like these things come in batches. But after a heavy rain-shower comes sunshine.. It will for you as well. Take care. I'm sure you will manage smile.gif

As much as you can will yourself Nothing, stay strong and be the pillar of support for your loved ones - I can't imagine what you're enduring but I'm sure everyone about you seeks someone steady to lean on in this horrible time. Perhaps if this support leads to their healing it can be beneficial to all concerned be it even to the smallest degree.

I wish you all the best that can be possible in the near future.

OH Nothing, My heart goes out to you and your Family and what you all have been going though. The Lord is there with all of you. All you have to do is ask him to be there with you and there in the mist he will be. Trust in him and he will not fail you, if you believe in him and love him.

Nothing, I look at this way, I had a heart attack in 94 and before that in 92 I ended up with Asthma and almost choked to death twice on food and now for the last 3 years I have been fighting with Psoriasis and have to wear cotton gloves 24/7. But each time the Lord was with me. The sad part is that I didn't come to the Lord at that time. But now I have him in my heart and soul. And I know he is not done with me, and won't desert me, but when that time comes for me to go, I will follow him gladly

. One other thing, I have one Grandson(out of 10 grand children) who is on drugs and his father is trying with all his heart to bring the young man around to see that this is messing his mind up real bad. It is so very hard on my Son and the rest of the family.

And there is a reason for these things that happen to us but we have to look to the Lord for his guidence and Love

. Be strong Nothing for your Family.

I will pray for your wife and the child that she is carring and you also.

Very Sorry for putting the Lord in the forums. NO I'm not sorry nor Ashamed. ( Romans8:vs 31,37,39) or John3:16)

Pat.........

I swear this is the worst start to a new year... So many people I've talked to have had tragedies happen to them over and over, myself included. Yours is whopper. Reading this thread has made my heart sink. I'm so very sorry for everything. I hope Nicole will recover physically and mentally from this. You'll soon see how strong of a person she is inside. My wife Sandy had a horrible accident back in '91. Her liver exploded throughout her body. 8 surgeries and 30 days later she awoke. Two months spent in the hospital. If her injuries are very severe, she will be going through a lot. Please keep us posted. We’ll all be thinking of you.

Very sorry to hear about your Cousin. Prayers to you and your family.
I lost a very good high school friend on New Years Day. It was shocking and made me re-think where I am in life.

Lou,

My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and your friends. You have suffered great loss and I'm sure it has taken it's toll on you and your wife, trying to deal with these difficult situations while trying to have a happy pregnancy. Lean on your friends and stay strong for your wife. Many times you hear, life isn't fair. The one thing I always find as difficult is when a parent has to deal with the death of their child. I pray and hope that your friend comes out of her coma with strentgh and will power to move on. That is when you and your wife will have to be strong. Soon your little bundle of joy will be here, I am sure that will be the best day of your life. Stay positive and strong, happiness will come your way again soon.

God Bless
