The one thing I really did enjoy about playing that server was shooting the jeep drivers as they pointed their jeep at me and tried to run me over..... not happening. My kar beats a jeep

great game yesterday on Ponyri [I think] at DD server.

I tried that server the other day for a bit - but was getting a terrible ping and lag... any idea where the server is located? Unusual, since I tend to get a pretty good connection to any server in N.A...

Not sure which server you're talking about.
If it's the CTF server |DD|Deathb4Dishonor then it's located in NY City. You should give it another try, sto see if it's still laggy. My experience is 90% of the time when a server seems laggy it not the server but a problem between you and the server. A problame which most often fixes itself |

Hmm... yeah, just played a full CTF game and my ping was better than last time (about 60). Server is kinda laggy on the whole tho.
Bloody snipers and campers all over the place in there... I died the most on my team, but also managed the most points.  I'll keep checking that one out, so hopefully I run into you's in there sometime. -------------------- |

It's even greater if they have an MG operater... shoot the driver and then pic off the sitting duck....  |

In rifle/sniper mode though the tendency is to try pick them off in a face-to-face head-on battle. Of course I'm just across the border from it but Rhine Valley without tanks there is so much more playable/smoother than any other server using it. I often joke with people who voice lag issues to turn off the google toolbar updater in the background - a couple of times I don't think people were joking when they said -'yeah,that was the problem!' We still run a RO CTF server at the otherside.... I play it at least once or twice a week for a round. You should come hang out there sometime.

Got in another game this morning on the |DD| server... I quite like it now - and seeing how no one plays Barb anymore it may be a good alternative.

Hey Hellfighter none of your "nemesis" are going to be on that server. Mainly a few of the Regs keep it going but it fills up late at night say 11 EST sometimes. I don't think anyone who would be there would give you any grief. I'm back up and running in COD4 but if I see blitz, undead, or shred on one of the UO servers thru xfire I'll join in for a bit.

Correct me if I'm mistaken Cpt.Canuck my chum, but today in that gritty match-up on Sicily in [DD] I got the impression your 'hmmmm' was your polite way of saying "Hellfighter; cough, cough, hack[saw], cough!"
It was a good game- your team almost tied just after you left -they needed your arty to take it home  Anyway-that was real fun. Are you always top score in there!? Gives the mob name some fierce-some reputation. I ended up with 139 points in that one- makes up for the previous round on rhine where I was bashed 5 times in sniper mode  cya there.... Yeah, I like that server.
That Sicily map was giving me problems tho - my framerate was all over the place and I coudnt seem to get any clean kills... surely that attributed to you 'pwning' me repeatedly.  Unfortunately a friend called in the midst of that massacre so I had to bail... You'll see me in there again tho! -------------------- |
