I vaguely remember the Sasquatch.
Steve Austin was kinda drugged out and the shadowy Sasquatch shows up. And Oscar Goldman turns into a bad guy. Its very vague now. I used to watch Emergency. Rampart. rampart. rampart !!!!!! -------------------- ![]() BLAM! Clan - Often inebriated, Rarely incarcerated |

Whoa got the chills on that one Robert!
That was a pretty cool show to bad it only lasted like... not even a year? Thought the story line to the series started off pretty strong but as the shows went on it went limp. -------------------- |

All right, here's a couple that I think are regional as well as old, so I don't know if anyone will recognize them. Anyway, here are some more kiddie shows from my youth in the NYC area:
Magic Garden This first one is Magic Garden. This show stopped in the '70's, so clearly it's being re-run given the G rating at the start of the video. I totally loved this show as a small child. Kids Are People Too This was the offspring of Wonderama. It may have been national, but I believe it came out of Baltimore. I couldn't find a Romper Room that looked familiar to me, sigh. There was also a regional PBS show that had a man with a mustache reading childrens stories as an older woman drew with pastels to illustrate the story. The theme was I think "Take Five" by Dave Brubeck, or a different Brubeck song. It was definately Brubeck, though. It would have either come out of NYC, Philly, Boston or Chicago. I wish I could remember the name, I watched that show religiously. -------------------- |

I've got the Electric Co. greatest hits DVD collection. I swear it helped my kid learn how to read by age 4.
Looking at the side I'd totally forgotten about 3-2-1 Contact. I loved that show too! When Nickleodeon first came on the air I think it stole some of PBS's viewers. I know I started watching this and this. -------------------- |

I've got the Electric Co. greatest hits DVD collection. I swear it helped my kid learn how to read by age 4. Damn straight, they did such an incredible job on that show. My sons teacher got a laugh when he TOLD HER about learning to read some words from "The Electric Company" ( Remember the two silhouetted faces which would both say parts of a word, then join them together ) Look at the people who did most of the show. Morgan Freeman Rita Moreno Bill Cosby No wonder it was such a success. Now the only educational programing aimed at little kids is shows like Dora and Diego. Which I guess is great if you need to learn Spanish. |
