MoHAA Turkey Shoot-Out
Nov 13th-21St

Ready for MoHPA!! Want to win a FREE MoHPA server!

Then welcome to the first annual Turkey Shoot-Out! A tourney for all MoHAA clans and players. Opportunity to play some fast action, attacking style matches designed to provide some great game play. Come for the fun and who knows you might win a free MoHPA server! Visit http://www.moaclan.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=index for more info.

Prizes and Entry Fee:

MoA Hosting will be providing two servers to the top two teams who win the tourney. You could win up to a 30-man server for one month!

Entry Fee: Each team will have the choice of paying $5 or $10 entry fee. The amount paid on the entry fee by the winning team(s) will determine the server size that they won. If the 1st place team choose to pay $10 entry fee then they win a 30 man server for a month, if they paid $5 then they would win a 15 man server for a month. It holds true for 2nd place - $10 equals a 20-man server and $5 equals a 12-man server.

Additional Info: Any team purchasing a server within two weeks of the tourney will get their entry fee placed towards the cost of the server.

Server info: To learn more about the servers you can go to www.moahosting.com

Format

Server set-up: Realism, Objective, Rounds length 3 minutes, Half length 15 minutes. Each team will play two 15-minute halves with each team having a half defending and a half attacking. MoA hosting will be providing the servers (2) and Team Speak with private sub channels for each team in which to use and play on for the Tourney.

Scoring: Every win for attackers (team that must plant the bomb) will result in 1 point for that team. All wins for defender will have no net result in points. If the score is tied at the end of both halves then total rounds won as Allies and Axis for both rounds will first determine the tiebreaker. If teams are still tied after counting total rounds won then total kills will then be tallied for the final tiebreaker. Once a winner is determined then that team will be awarded one point.

Set-up: The Tourney is limited to a total of 12 teams 4vs4.

First Round: We will place teams in groups of three. Each group of three teams will play each other within a given and agreed time frame within the first two days of the tourney (Friday and Saturday). Each group will need to agree to available and ready to play all three matches back to back (estimated time 1.5 to 2 hours).

Second Round: Same as first round, except we rearrange the teams so that they face all new teams. Each group will have the third and fourth day (Sunday and Monday) to arrange to play all three matches back-to-back.

Final Round: The top four overall scoring teams will advance to the final round to be held the following weekend. The teams will then be placed in a bracket format seeded by total points won. Semi-final on Friday/Saturday and Final on Sunday. Top two teams will play for bragging rights as well as who gets the size of prize.

Map Selection: Map choices will be V2, Hunt and Bridge. Each team will send forth one player to bash for map choice prior to the start of the match. Loser gets to pick the side for the first half.

Anti-Cheat: Because this is being opened up to a variety of OGL teams and prizes are at stake we will be running Reverend…but for verification purposes only. We will not run MW to start the match. An admin will be present to make sure everyone gets on and verified, provide three restarts as well as monitor the matches. The admins will not be playing in the matches. Each team can supply one admin to help if they like. If an admins clan team is playing they will not be allowed to monitor that match. Admins will be present and make all determinations on dropped players or restarts if needed.

If each team agrees not to use Reverend for verification purposes then two admins will need to be present to monitor the match.

Team Rosters, Skins, Weapons

There is no limit of players for a team or the number of teams a clan sponsors for the tourney. However, a player can only play for one team. Players caught smurfing will have their team(s) disqualified from the tourney. If you have players that play from the same house their IP’s must be submitted prior to the beginning of the tourney.

All stock server settings will be in place (runspeed, friendly fire, etc.), just like it is required of teams in other leagues, like OGL. One difference is that the time limit will be set to 15 minutes with 3-minute rounds.
Only stock settings are allowed. No custom paks, skins, blood mods, etc will be allowed. Forcing models is allowed. And Cinematic will be allowed.

Reporting Match Results

A Forum channel will be provided for the tourney for news as well as match result postings. Each team will be required to take SS’s of each final half as well as upload them to a provided upload center. (Please convert them to jpeg before uploading them). The SS’s will need to be uploaded after all three rounds have been played for your group. Admins will verify the scores and provide an updated list of leaders for each group.

Sign-up

Dead-Line for sign-up will be Nov 10th. Payments will need to be made by PayPal by the 10th of Nov as well.

First you do have to win it wink.gif

Second, we realize most clans already have servers...but with MohPA coming out they may or may not want to add a server depending on how the game plays. With a free server for MohPA what better way to test out the game without paying for a server for a month.

Third, we choose to do the server thing versus the "cash" because that way the clan who wins allows all their players to enjoy the rewards versus monies that my not be distributed.

I would like to add we would love to have some of the best TDM Mohaa players jump over and teach us OBJ guys how it's done. wink.gif Plus the format that we will use promotes clans that make a push.
