Silver, I have to respond here to your heavy incite into humanity because I think RD locked the thread. I do not pretend to understand humanity; it was just a joke. Don't be one of those people who take himself so seriously, like ML.

Jak, I'm having a hard time understanding what you are saying. This man with this website needs to be dealt with, not the people that don't support the platform. This man has gone way over than just nonsupport.

QUOTE(PISTOFFBAD @ 06/11/05 11:37am) Jak, I'm having a hard time understanding what you are saying. This man with this website needs to be dealt with, not the people that don't support the platform. This man has gone way over than just nonsupport. You're confused, as I was referring to the "lot of people" terminology used in your first post. That there is, as I put it, "a large percentage of the population," or, in other words, a substantial amount of citizens, that support the foolish and ignorant ideas posted on that website is just not true. Silver I do know Too Exclusive, at the time I just couldn't figure out what you meant. And to TheGhost, you certainly had some interesting thoughts, most alarming of which was this line: I say we do what we did in WWII, round up all the fuckin towel heads, and stick them in freakin detention camps. better yet why dont we just deport them mofos?. Well, first of all, during World War II, we were not at war with, as you say, any "towel heads." By towel heads I'll assume you mean Arab Muslims, but you could also be referring to Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Afghanis, or any other number of Asian ethnicities. Those interned were Japanese and German citizens, mainly Japanese in the West. Secondly, although the use of detention camps was upheld in Korematsu vs. U.S. (1944), it is simply unconstutional and UNAMERICAN because the vast majority of those interned were merely of Japanese descent and had committed no crime. Furthermore, we cannot simply deport someone because they look different. If you want to live in another century, build a time machine. Otherwise, give those of different ethnicities and religions the respect they deserve. Moving on, your comments on the war were certainly interesting. If our armed forces acted in a manner in which you wish they would, how much respect do you think they, or the country in general, would garner? The Geneva Convention Standards are in place for a reason. And, unfortunately for your proposition, the United States cannot live in a bubble. For one, we are WAY too dependent on foreign oil for that. I'm also not sure as to why you stated all "dems," presumably Democrats, but I think you intended liberals who don't support the war, should go live in Iraq and then have the President save them. Why should people who don't think we should be there in the first place go to Iraq. This is the current administration's doing, not any raging liberals, and as such, the President should be responsible. It's also nice to know that you would kill anyone who did not support the troops. Well goddamn, slap my ass and call me billy! What the fuck does "Support the Troops" mean exactly anyways. I'd be interested to know what you or anyone else on this forum has done to support the troops. Putting a bumper sticker on your SUV alonside your American flag and W2004 sticker doesn't seem to cut it to me. Do you even know anyone serving in Iraq? I do. everyone has the right to their own opinion, guess i look at it this way....
i can embrace all sorts of diffrent cultures and idea's. my worry is this, they are bringing gorrilla warfare to the streets of USA. this is my worry that they are (and have been) using the freedom afforded to us by the constitution against us. (kinda fucked up) now i believe in racial profiling, i believe it works. i live in a safe town, the police use racial profiling here (not publicly but you see them pulling over alot of minorities). why.... i assume thats what they are doing. do i care...yes and no. it aint right but it keeps the thugs away and sad to say that it causes problems for people that didnt do shit (me being one of them). i have been harrassed by the police since i moved in and no one in this town give a rats ass. i dont think we should lock up unconvicted people and toss away the key. we need to round up all these illegal aliens and such and get rid of them. we need to protect the us from mexico. build a large wall and if they come over shoot them. also going about half a mile in the ground would be nice so they stop digging under it. lets put the war on drugs on hold and fight the war on terror and secure our country. up here (buffalo ny) we border canada and we have a fair amount of people being snuck across the border but the border patrol is doing so much better now that they have better funding, and better equipment. we need this in place all over the US borders. there are terrorists in this country right now and anyone that thinks otherwise is an optimist. i support the troops in my own way. just remembering that what they are doing might just be keeping suicide bombers and large infulx of muslim extremists off our soil. (not that we dont have a training camp on best street in buffalo) but if they didnt go into afganistan then we might not be in the same place as we are now. as for iraq we had to do it. if it wasnt us then it would have been someone else. there was no wapons of mass distruction but there were thousands being killed at random by saddam. he had to go! the sticker on the back of the SUV serves as a reminder, you dont want to put money in someones pocket, paint it on the car. well i dont know but i know one thing we treated the german prisioners during WWII great. the ones that came back to the us like our own soldiers. that worked out good. gitmo i would like to see a little better reason why we are keeping some (just to help it out with the mental picture, i know we are doing bad stuff, but so are the terrorists) speaking of terrorists- the word terrorist should mean an (fill in the blank) extremist that wants to do harm to and or cause panic to civilans. i was less upset that the pentagon was hit then i was about the WTC. the pentagon is our war machine so its open to attack. Yeah I DO happen to know someone in the Armed Forces serving in Iraq. Lets see now: My uncle is currently over there for his 2nd time, two of my cousins are over there, my friends dad is, and my dad was over there and now hes back. So shut the fuck up asshole until you know about something like that. Oh and by the way... my dad lost his left hand, and one of my cousins lost both his legs. Ghost I'll be honest and tell you that I got quite a kick out of your last post. Silver, at least your's was somewhat reasonable. Unfortunately I just have not seen any guerilla warfare here on the streets of Atlanta, maybe I'm missing something? Anyways, I really just want to reply to Ghost.
Firstly, I as pointing out your reference to WWII concentration camps for those of Japanese and German heritage to illustrate it's irrelevance to today's world. Back then, we knew who our enemy was. Now, it can be anybody who dislikes America or deems there is cause to attack America, what it stands for, and how it functions as part of the world. Think of how many places Al Queda operates in the world, the FBI and CIA have confirmed this numerous times. And yet we are to assume that all of those people who are members of Al Queda, associate with it, or simply support their 'cause' are all the same? Furthermore, the term "towel heads" is so vague and racist in iteslf that I still don't know who you are talking about. Moving on to #2: Your use of the word "them" is examplary here. So good in fact, that one might be tempted to use it as a perfect example of how NOT to write. Anyways, my point centered around the fact that all Muslims, Arabs, or otherwise Asians as you would like to believe are not terrorists or insurgents. I also don't understand how people that are here, in America, are also simultaneously halfway around the world killing our troops. And now to #3: The insurgents fighting in Iraq are not an organ of any state, nor a regular army, and as such are terrorists. They should be dealt with as such. In addition, there are numerous countries that abide by the Geneva Convention: Great Britain, France, Germany, Austria, Holland, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Spain, South Africa...the list goes on. I'd hate to see the shape of the world were countries not obligated by basic human decency to abide by the Geneva Convention. You should read John Keegan's "War and our World." It's nice and short, just a compilation of essays. It might broaden your horizons and change how you think of war. Has anyone else read this book (Druid, RD?), I thought it was fascinating. And don't get all emotional about someone serving in Iraq. My cousin's husband, a Marine, has had 4 surgeries on the left side of his face after he was hit by shrapnel on his 2nd tour. It makes me sad beyond all measure to see him in the condition he's in now, but that doesn't mean I'll lose my convictions, opinions, or ideals. Give it a rest, and don't tell me to shut the fuck up please. This post has been edited by Blakjak: 06/13/05 5:09pm -------------------- ![]() |

blak,
no i was being very extreme when i said that. i mean we would have to have a total social and govermential break down before something that scale ever happened. but i guess what i mean is that the actions of one person and one race has a direct effect and action on the rest of their culture and race. there are americans (WASP) that have relations with terrorist orgs. reciently there was evidence that Timmy Mcveigh (excuse my ignorance as to the spelling of his name...well spelling in general) that peaked my intrest a lil. no this guy should be beaten for his own monetary gains. 4500 to shut down the site. asshole.... i just think that untill we take srious what is going to happen in america when they do get us (its a matter of time) i fear for all the people that have escaped that life to live free. they win when we take the freedom afforded to us by the fore fathers. thats what they want. FEMA and the Patroit act (some of it) seems to be a crock of shit. i dont mind the intrusion to protect the american public on a large scale butthey need to stay out of the personal life of people that dont fit a terrorist profile. example, an american family that has been here for more then one generation and has not visited with or made transactions with a unknowen foreign trade. the guy at the corner that has been here for a few years and has pics of his kids holding ak-47's and rocket launchers in iraq should be investigated. the muslim assylum(?) on best st. in buffalo click here im a weird person blak and im not posting this for anyother reason, this has been on local news and is talked about around here. people are afraid, the area it is in is not a good neighborhood (i wouldnt walk through it...i would run very fast) and the people i know down there say the samething...they watch this joint a lot. now to make seriously bad dudes worry is not something to take lightly. if something does happen the uneducated (armed) population might react and it will not be plesant. |

Is my higher reasoning or educated analysis aggravating you. I would like to agree with Silver, but yes Real, please lock this thread before numbnut's head explodes. Silly bullshit posts that do little but reveal how ignorant the poster is are a waste of everyone's time. Don't blab; no one, least of all me, will take you seriously. If you want to debate, please make some reasonable, thought-out posts. As Benny would say, Goddamn!
