Just my opinion take it or leave it, I don't play in matches so it doesn't effect me one way or the other.
OGL... Whats the point? There was a time when it severed a purpose but does it really anymore. Basically you have a few older teams and several newer teams which don't really have the players or the initiative to try for #1, the exception to this would be SK who has made an unbelievable comeback from the clan they once were. It would be just as easy to setup scrimmages/matches with the teams you want to play against, I don't think the ladder format works very well for this old of a game with so few teams.
It can't be long off before OGL closes the ladder themselves, will they wait until there are only 10 teams... 8 teams... 5, who knows.

Prime example, the topic on OGL which could of been used for a reasonable discussion has already been locked.
I will never understand OGL's constant attempts to keep ladder discussions private, to me it;s just plain silly seeing as how 90% time everybody knows exactly what is going on and if they don't it would probably help in the long run if they did.

No matter what, the regs team shouldn't of been suspended, as RealDeal has already proven they didn't know what was going on much less that it was a problem.
No doubt OGL will stand by the old saying of "Teams are required to know the rules and abide by them", well right back at you "no harm no foul"
I would be willing to bet if OGL bothered to ask, not a single clan would agree with the suspension but OGL won't let that fact stand in their way.

I agree with Druid about there not being any point to the ladder. How can there be with only 3 teams to contend for the top spot? How can there still be interest when the majority of the people I talk to are extremely bored with the same maps and the lack of competition? We left due to a complete lack of interest and we were tired of playing SF, Crossroads and Algiers. Just no point to it anymore.

Druids idea of just setting up scrims will never work though. The best thing that a ladder has going for it is the organization it brings to the game and the teams. The teams have to set the matches up and get them played or there are severe consequences, like forfeits (right Real). Plus there is a monitoring system to keep "smurfs" from being on multiple teams (right Real).

We would be up for some sort of competition, for we are getting bored with not having something to do. Plus we miss whipping Realdeals ass in matches and scrims. Maybe get something set up where on a certain night of the week teams can post if they have enough people online to make a scrim. Something like that. We also wouldnt mind getting some Cod scrims going. Maybe some base assault or the new Merciless mod. If you havent tried it, download it, it is completely different then anything else for Cod. Match play would be a blast on it. Get this done Druid.

Yes Sir.Now you know how my old clan felt about OGL & there decisions on certain issues..

Personally I could care the fuckless if someone plays on 2 teams as long as it is the same main clan.

I see no reason to suspend or rung lost for MOB or the Regs team.Okay RD messed up so just suspend the player only who is at fault.However, I do think Smokin will make the right chioce..I hope..

I played the BF2 demo, so much better than UO..Maybe its time to look a head & not worry about MOHaa & OGL some much anymore?????

It would be nice to scrimmage on the old maps & the new custom maps.Far much more fun when rungs are not involved,We scrimmaged DMG last Sunday.I just had a blast It was so much fun.No camping just straight out run & gun who cares adittude..Thats what its all about FUN!!!!!!

Being a noob and speaking from ignorance, how hard would it be for the remaining MOHAA OGL teams to say "Screw OGL" and set up their own ladder. With only a small amount of teams left would it be that difficult? Is it possible to police ourselves without crying "HACK" at this stage of the game? Not trying to make a point, just curious.

mob really doesnt have anything to prove to the mohaa world anymore, they have been on top more then any other team. what ogl did was wrong. mohaa is a 4 year old game and it hasnt been supported for about 3 1/2 of those years by EA games. it has to take someone like blackbart to come put with an anti-cheat to try and keep the game clean and that doesnt even work. ogl needs to take their head out of their a@@ for a while.

The suspension was lifted and all is back to normal.Also I guess the auto forfiet was removed because MOB is now in front of the Regs.That must of been the worst out of all this, having the Regs further up the ladder.lol At least we can say we were closer to #1 than MOB at one time

Multi-Clanners

Players may participate in as many clans as they desire, however, they may register for one, and only one, clan per ladder.

The new ladder software in use by the OGL is designed to catch multi-clanners and NOT permit teams to join the ladder if that player is already on a team ALREADY on the ladder.

If the OGL determines that a player has violated this rule:

That Player will be suspended from all OGL play for a period of two weeks upon the first occurrence.

A second offence will result in summary expulsion from the OGL, and the forfeit of all membership privileges.

The only reason I can see to make a separate account is to keep the second account from being noticed as belonging to the original player.
While that may be to make sure scheduling is handled properly, which seems innocent enough, it still violates the rules that you agreed to when you joined the ladder.

Mohaa ladders also have specific penalties outside of the General Rules, listed penalties which is why Grunt resolved the issue as he did.
He was accurate in both his findings, and ruling.

I will however, reconsider the penalties.

Player maniac69 has been deleted. Real Deal will remain suspended until the 2 weeks are up.

The teams suspensions have been removed, and their rungs restored to where the ladders logs show they were before this drop in rungs occured.
Matches with TLD, etc. can not be reinstated. The auto forfeit stands as it happened. VX9 can be rechallenged if you like, as that match was cancelled and not forfeited.

I would like to thank all of you for your support of {MOB} in this matter and for those that contacted OGL on our behalf..... TLD, VX9 & SK... at the end of the day this is still a game and we all need to depend on each other to make it work. Thanks guys!

If I may make a suggestion. Mob, take advantage of Real's two week suspension. His time away from the ladder and team can be compared to the two week vacation that Wal-Mart gives to the "mentally challenged" employees it has handing out carts and stickers. You will notice he is not around, primarily because of the improved smell, but get alot more shit done and not get bumped into all the time.
