we have our practice server that is running stock maps. I think the regs would scrim us and they probably would like to get a team up.

I generally suck at BA no matter what. So whatever goes up I'll play. I like smaller maps myself. But I garuntee you'll jus see me out there bein' fodder.

If MOB plays any league then have havin' a server with a mix of stock and custom maps is a good idea. As a current Reg and former OGL player I'd scrim. I don't know if the server admin uses HLC RCON, but I ran it on my servers and it's excellent to change config's for matches, scrims etc.

As for maps Barb is prolly currently the best custom map with Kharkov a close 2nd. Ardennes and Vitebisk too big and too foggy, imo.

laugh.gif Any server which runs custom maps for base is a good thing, I mean u can found hundreds of servers running those same 4 standard maps.... booriiing.
Maybe u should try and add townassault and gunassault maps to your server and make some kind of map rotation, if it´s not too difficult. huh.gif

It´s so frustrating to see your barbarossa server full evening after evening, usually with same players, other players don´t have a chance to get in and same time your custom server is empty or down. angry2.gif Wouldn´t be polite to give a room for other players and play that other bas server for a change or is everyone so stats-a-holics to get some kind of name as a "Barbarossa pro" flamethrowingsmiley.gif

There´s a matter for everyone to think about it... like my opinion or not fartnew.gif

we could always add barb 2 and fwd people like we use to on GF and GF2. I agree that the same 4 maps are all over, everyone runs them. might mix them up, but stick with the custom maps.

Yes RealDeal I do have previous admin/rcon experience. Wrote my own config files etc.

Regarding the "complaint" about the server always being full, well thats a good thing and I know I usually use the password to allow pubbies a slot.Townassault and Gunassault aren't great maps either.

H8tred tripwires as in AWE mod don't work for BAS. I'm currently developing my own Mod and wanted trips and remote satchels to give BAS a different feel but the gametype doesn't support the scripting.

Hey Ravyn, What do you mean Tripwires dont work with Base??????? I have played base useing tripwires & satchels you could detonate! And i know it was AWE (not sure which version) cuz one guy on the server was complaining about the trip wires killing him everytime he went into the bunker to plant, He started calling the guy a cheater & a hack. They tried telling him it was the AWE mod. But he didnt get it. Anyway my point is that I'm confused by your statment of they cannot be used in BASE, When i have played base using those items within the past 6 months. Can you set me straight here? I must of missed something.

Undertow if you've played BAS with AWE running then I would stand corrected. This would be the 1st time I've ever heard of an AWE server runnin' BAS and I'd be interested in the IP. I tried runnin AWE/BAS on one of my servers without success and I had the latest version and all the correct config's. But your comment that you've played that combination gives me hope for my own work, thx. One last question was it AWE or Platinum or something else?
