If you take it directed at you, then so be it. Fact of the matter is, I read your post. It seemed to me you were stating that the term Nigga has several usages. the word nigga could possibly be used as slang for a person not derogatory. But i would like to see you walk into the hood in South Georgia and refer to a black person as a Nigga and possibly Nigger and see what kind of response youll get on the ethical values of the conjugation of Nigger. Chances are if you roll down MLK in ATL, you will find out pretty quick how they feel about it.

Thats what I did tonight but seeing as I'm under 18 i still have a 12 o clock curfew. The reason you didn't play video games when you were a kid was because they weren't around or as popular or they just weren't as easy to play. Like a lot of people in America have PC's theres games for pc's. A high percentage of americans have a xbox or ps or ps2 or some sort of gaming console, its are way of being a kid with out the burning down public property or doing whatever it was you did as a kid.

Gomer I like to think i have good values and my parents haven't fucked up on raising me they just give a lot of freedom to do what I do.

I just want to say this about the whole "N-word" conversation... well not say, but post a quote.

I'm sure that most people remember this controversial speech he gave. Apparently it was actually several speeches. I just read a bunch of it since this came up.

I agree with Bill Cosby. And in the context of his speeches he mentions lower income black families. If you just read the quotes it sounds like he is just talking trash about "poor black folks". But he isn't saying that all poor black families are trash, if you read the full transcripts he talks about a good percentage of the minority that are ruining thier lives and the lives of thier children through ignorance.

Ignorance is the key word. How can anyone escape the pain of the "N-word" if they use it amoungst themselves?

Some have said over the years that using the "N-word" in an everyday context takes the insult from the word. I could swear I read that from Snoop Dogg in the mid '90's, but I couldn't find a direct quote. Having livedin the pre rap age, and having gone through early rap, RUN-DMC and what not, and in my sophomore year in high school discover the new band NWA, and gone on from there, I believed this theory for a while. But now that I've grown older I understand what Mr. Cosby is saying. It's not about slang. It's about throwing away what generations before you fought for. Getting schools desegragated, getting to vote, getting to ride in the front of the bus, these things are all thrown away today. In my oppinion it's not just poor blacks, though. It's all races. It's about acting a certain way, a way that is quite frankly ignorant. I went through it as a phase. I can still to this day sing word for word any (first album) NWA song. But when guys I went to school with started ripping off other guys gold chains at the mall, when they started gangs, I realized this went too far.
The "N-word" isn't the problem. It's a symptom of the problem. The problem is ignorance. You need to fight the sypmtoms and the problem. The problem may be tough to cure, but it's generally easy to get rid of the symptoms.
Don't say it. It's that easy. Don't let your friends say it. Don't let your black friends say it if you are white. Too many people died to make sure they didn't hear it. Why say it?

As far as El P getting bashed, well I for one was not participating in said bashing and like I already stated in SK's forums...
1) I was staying out of it to avoid any unnecessary BS
2) Respect is earned, not given. El P has not done that with anyone in my book, he talks more trash than everyone, except Diesel. Therefore, he is owed nothing.
