right now our local red cross is asking for people to go south and help out. since i'm not working alot i'm thinking about doing it.

Maybe people would have left if the hurricane was called something like hurricane kill your ass. Instead of these friendly names like Katrina. I know i would leave if i saw a news man say "Hurricane kill your ass is on its way".

BTW to everyone that has layed into Silver. Im positive he means no harm to the people that got hurt down there. He already had a sympathy thread going for those that were/are in harms way. He made one remark about a person that was pissing him off, & its been blown way out of proportion. Nova, your correct in that there is no place that is not subjected to mother nature. But i agree with Silver. If you choose to live in an area that is prone to certain types of disasters, Then you should be prepared for those when they occur. As for everyone else saying that they couldnt of left. I disagree, they had a good 3-4 day notice that the storm was heading right for them & getting worse. Unfortunately alot of them chose to stay. If it ever happens again, I'm willing to bet alot more of them leave.

Now can we stop all this he said she said BS .... And get back to the topic.

why are they waiting for busses? people (truck drivers) need to take the trucks and cut the roofs off the trailers (tripple back them) and put people inside and get them out!!! k12 saw or a sawzall will open a trailer like a can!!! WTF!!!! SOMEONE HELP THESE PEOPLE!!!!!

I agree with Johnny on this one. You have no right to talk about things that you know nothing about.
