We've received several request to try out the new map Smolensk in Conquest mode.
I originaly was going to change the game type tomorrow (Monday) as a test. Giving it a little more thought I've decided to wait until Tuesday. This way, people who have never played conquest will have a chance to get familiar with the game type before the change. Looking forward to playing conquest on new map. I have suddenly lost my passion for base assault, specially with that new map, think im gonna do some conquest for awhile, and because our clan is now gone and forgotten, im going to wonder around as a free warrior. Played conquest couple times on first Barb map and with large number of players, it was great fun. --------------------    |

Can I suggest removing tanks for CNQ. It plays much more infantry friendly, and may be a boost to beginners with the gametype on that map. Our better matches (with 16 or fewer players) are by parking the tanks. Full servers, however, can incorporate them with more balance. The key though is teamwork. Too many lone wolf types, multiple snipers, and pak campers will only get your team pinned back and ruin everyone's day. Work together, cover capture zones, and be smart. This map is not as forgiving early on for the Germans as some others might be.

We will probably be changing the game mode several times to get the best feddback.

I tried out the conq.mode tonight.... very very hectic pace- even for me lol. I liked it- but moving fast for those long rounds and 3 rounds per battle is quite a toil. I think you might like to try 'capture the flag' mode. The pace is more modest and gives you time to appreciate the map more like Bases mode.

LoL.... btw Druid, I forgot to mention another reason I'd like to see a change~ Silver does too much ownage with the bunker mortar into the German base ....oh wait, that's not surprising > echoes of him and DG raking down Germans with captured armour in Barby 1 map  . I'm glad he came in midway through the battle last night or ugly as my near 100 deaths looked, it could've been worse  -------------------- |

Great fun on the server last night! CNQ is great, though I'd miss BAS if it were gone for good. Perhaps alternate game types?
One idea: Occasional CNQ instructions from the console for those unfamiliar with the game type. --------------------  |
