Geno, ya think you could give us an update on how the school/career is going? Shadow, shut the fuck up Had health problems and ended up having to drop out half way through. What started out as a simple back surgery has turned into four with two of them being pretty serious. It's been a long road and I've surpassed the time limit to finish the program without having to start over so I won't be going back. I'm finally mostly pain free and only lost minimal function in my legs so I'm not limited at this point but I don't see going back to start over. -------------------- Give a man a match and he's warm for a min. No need to sound so ominous. Howdy! This place has more activity than the "new" site. Proof as to why I would never completely turn the website over to anyone, because sooner or later they would let if go to shit. Does it matter at this point, probably not to 99.9% of people but it's always been a pet peeve of mine. Their newest forum problem is a result of PHP being updated on their web host. It would take all of 2 minutes to resolve the conflict between their forum version and the new PHP version but it's been like that for months. Multiple solutions available 1) Turning off PHP error reporting 2) Remove "& new" so it just says "new" in the offending files. If the file says $vbulletin =& new vB_Registry(); Change it to $vbulletin = new vB_Registry(); 3) Run an update on the forum software so it wont conflict with the newer PHP version Option 3 would take some time and effort but either of the 1st two would be quick simple fix. |

The closest I get to playing a game is hunting for great deals during steam sales. LMAO
I've tried different games off and on but nothing really grabs me anymore, it's all just more of the same. The worse part is when my son talks me into playing on the PS3/4 with him. First of all, I grew up using a mouse/keyboard so it's hard switching to a gamepad but even considering that he still smokes me like a noob whenever we play. The worse part is he tries to be nice about it which only makes it more frustrating/disappointing. Nothing sounds more condescending than my 13 year old say " it's okay dad, you did pretty good, I'm sure you'll do better next time." I'm like over the hill high school football playing getting by on their memories. In stead of football I have MOH:AA and Barbarossa |

I'm like over the hill high school football playing getting by on their memories. In stead of football I have MOH:AA and Barbarossa While I didn't play MOHAA, I can certainly relate with regards to Barb. The server I play on now, {BA}, occasionally runs Barb in the rotation and I become a giddy little child. Only some of the regulars there now used to play {MOB} servers so they know the pak and tank shots, but for the most part I have the paks all to myself. Just get even with your son when he learns how to drive. "Don't worry, Son, I'm sure you'll do better next time. Now I'm gonna show you how to buff out a bumper and adequately remove all traces of blood." Shred! I'm doing well. Graduated college and have been working for a year. Actually just got back about a week ago from a trip to Europe where I went around London, Paris, and Amsterdam. How have you been? I haven't seen you since I stopped seeing the [BLAM] Shipment 24/7 server on my CoD4 list and the [BLAM] website moved or something. I guess I did survive the BsS implosion? What happened? I always liked most of them, but we steadily grew apart over the years to the point where I sort of forgot they existed. -------------------- Pancakes

Only some of the regulars there now used to play {MOB} servers so they know the pak and tank shots, but for the most part I have the paks all to myself. I ended up hating all the PAK spamming in Barb as I though it ruined the overall game play that made the map so special. At the beginning it was a lot of fun learning/perfecting those bunker buster PAK shots. Just last month I was cleaning out some old computer junk and found a hard drive pulled from an old system when I updated the hardware. I decided to check the drive before tossing it, looking for pictures or anything else I would want to keep. One of the files in the documents folder was a Word document dated from early 2006. I had put together a list of screenshot showing exactly where to aim the PAK guns to hit the enemy bunkers and guns. It seemed like yesterday when Bullet, ScrapyardBob and I stayed up all night figuring all the shots out. http://www.mobclan.com/forums/upload/index...?showtopic=9884 Good times, so sad they will never come again. |

Geno, if you are reading this I hope your health continues to improve and everything else will fall into its right place in due time! Cheers bro, best of luck with everything

I've definitely spent more time on Steam buying games than actually playing games on there...fucking evil business model they've got going on. I also have a PS3 and I got an older COD thinking my old FPS skills from my PC gaming days would allow me to be decent. Well, I played for about a week and I'll just say that was immensely embarrassing. What made it worse was that I always knew exactly what I had to do due to my former FPS prowess (understanding of maps and game dynamics, etc) but physically couldn't because of the gamepad being so different from the good old Mouse+Keyboard. -------------------- {MOB}... Hey Geno, I hope you get better as well.
On a note to you other slobs, I have picked up some MOHAA once again and I am playing in the MLS server. I even ran into Gangsta Viejevox on the server and it was quite a blast from the past. Give me a holla and we can bring back some old times. Maybe I'll even host a voice server or something. IP - 162.248.91.229 -------------------- |
