For those that don't know, ex-senator Mitchell spent months compiling evidence against players that used steroids in the past years and the report was released at 2 pm est today. Complete list of names as far as I could tell (haha Clemens):
Lenny Dykstra David Segui Larry Bigbie Brian Roberts Jack Cust Tim Laker Josias Manzanillo Todd Hundley Mark Carreon Hal Morris Matt Franco Rondell White Roger Clemens Andy Pettitte Chuck Knoblauch Jason Grimsley Gregg Zaun David Justice F.P. Santangelo Glenallen Hill Mo Vaughn Denny Neagle Ron Villone Ryan Franklin Chris Donnels Todd Williams Phil Hiatt Todd Pratt Kevin Young Mike Lansing Cody McKay Kent Mercker Adam Piatt Miguel Tejada Jason Christansen Mike Stanton Stephen Randolph Joey Hairston Jr. Paul Lo Duca Adam Riggs Bart Miadich Fernando Vina Kevin Brown Eric Gagne Mike Bell Matt Herges Gary Bennett Jr. Jim Parque Brendan Donnelly Chad Allen Jeff Williams Howie Clark Nook Logan The entire 300+ page report is available on www.espn.com Such a sad day, Paul Lo Duca was my favorite player last year... Well, just another reason why the NHL is the best. -------------------- {MOB}... Often Imitated, NEVER duplicated |

Wow, the list would have been shorter if they just wrote who didn't use them. As far as I am concerned, if you get caught then take the punishment... but don't start to dig up old history. I think most people are really not shocked, at least I'm not. Thought the list would be longer.
The distributor is the rat: "many of the names in the report are directly tied to information provided to Mitchell’s investigators by Kirk Radomski, a former bat boy and clubhouse attendant for the Mets who pleaded guilty to steroid distribution in April." I'm sure Mitchell has no skeleton's in his closet. -------------------- Signature designed by Old Man Mike Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway. |

i assure you saucy, steroid use is worse in hockey than baseball, hockey hasnt had that one all star player become vocal yet ,it will happen though .one thing mitchell had described early in his report that alot of these guys were told when they would be tested days and sometimes weeks before test day. this is happening with all sports, especially the NFL .i ,being an orioles fan since i was 7 ,knew most of that list - anderson ,segui and tejada but was amazed to see brian roberts name.these names stem from the grimsley report and basicly from a few trainors etc...,could you imagine how many players who go to mexico or get them from friends? ill bet %50 of the league is on some sort of steroid or hgh.
was amazed at the amount of current and previous boston red sox players named as well. just glad ,NOT to see Cal Ripkens name,he roomed with brady when in spring training. -------------------- |

MLB actively promoted drug use by:
1) Notifying players when the test would accur 2) Relaxed rules if caught (Selig's new "tougher" rules called for a ban only if caught for the 7th time) 3) Covered up some of the cases 4) MLB knew of the drug use and did absolutely nothing but coddle the players I stopped following MLB about 7 years ago because of the continious breach of ethics on players, teams and especially the administration. -------------------- |

Oh of course, these names are just the tip of the iceberg.
To me though, the most troubling part of all this is how it is being revealed more and more that the teams just didn't care about what was going on. Some of the packages would be delivered right to the clubhouse... everyone must have known what was going on, it's ridiculous. It's a shamockery. -------------------- {MOB}... The whole thing is a farce to me. The Players Association didn't let any of the players talk and all we have are two guys from New York who squealed like the stuck pigs they are. I'd bet my left big toe that there's a guy like this on EVERY team that they just haven't had their claws into yet. So to plaster these guys up for the world when they are barely a start is crazy. At this point who cares? We know they were dirty. Why did he need to name anyone? It's obvious that everyone from the Commish down to the bat boy in the farm leagues was involved. Until the PA will agree to blood testing (random) then the whole thing is going to be garbage. It will never happen because of "privacy". Which is a load of crap.
I think that NOW is when congress needs to get involved. They have supena (sp?) power and could force everyone to tell what they know. And from that mandate that they clean up their act with legislation. As it is nothing is going to happen and we'll still be wondering who is using what. -------------------- Give a man a match and he's warm for a min. With the amount of money these guys make, they should be forced to take random blood tests. If caught with a drug that was in a over the counter drug that had a small amount of something not clear on the label of something, then it would be a small suspension. But if it is clear that it was these hybred steriods or HGH drugs, then its an automatic ban.
Its disgusting that it was allowed to get this far. If congress did not get involved, it would still be going on. I really love baseball. I go to the White Sox games about 10 to 15 times a year. I watch them almost every game on TV unless im working or out of town. It does hurt to know this is going on, but when the money gets as high as it does like today, its bound to happen. We just need there to be strict rules in place for it. Not only a ban, but fines that take away these guys fortunes also. I mean, some of these guys great, great, great, great grandkids, dont need to worry about ever holding a job. If you were into sports, and someone told you that you would make 300 million over your span in the majors if you took this drug, would you? Its very tempting to many. Unless there is really harsh penalties, it will always keep occuring. -------------------- |

I think that a great deal of these names are put on because of he said, she said... instead of real proof like blood testing. At the end of the day anyone can make an statement about other person... but let me see the facts... they speak for themselves.

Allot of the facts in the report are actual checks that these people paid to their provider. You can see copies of the checks on espn.

At the end of the day anyone can make an statement about other person... but let me see the facts... they speak for themselves. he did a thorough report but the funny thing is it involved 2 trainors ,a bat boy and the federal grimsly report.baseball fans knew this investigation was happening but know one knew it would be this many big name players.if you read the end of the report its got all the copies of checks etc...-------------------- |
