Oh my god, I am so disgusted with the TUF fights. All these guys enter the octagon with their gas tank already on Empty. Normally you see several TUF losers get signed by the UFC, I doubt any of these guys get a contract.
It only shows how much they tried to stack the show to make it easy as they could for Kimbo. I've been to a few tough-man contest which amount to little more than unskilled drunks slugging it out but was still better than the most TUF fights this season. I laughed out load when the camera cut to Dana saying "Now that was a good fucking fight" Was he watching another fight on his phone?
Little skill an zero conditioning do not make for a good fight.

At least the people trying out for TUF 11 look like they have some skill

i agree with you %100 .i have it on in my bar with no sound every week and none of the fighters Ive seen would last one round in any weight class in The UFC.a bunch of fat guys with no gas.

Sadly no quick rematch. Machida had surgery on his had surgery on his hand to remove some bone spurs.
Looks like 4-5 months for the earliest rematch.

I think that the Lesnar fight was canceled so that he could be put on the Jan 2 card. All of the champs are injured or scheduled to fight between now and then. I was looking at the 175lb division and there is nobody left for GSP. I couldn't come up with a single compeling match up from the fighters they have listed on the UFC website. I'm sort of interested to see the BJ Penn vs Diego Sanchez fight. That should be a good one. I think Mir is fighting Congo in that one too. Along with Florian vs. Guida. I love watching Guida fight. That dude never stops. IMO he should still be hunting for his head somewhere in Nebraska after that head kick Diego put on him. That was the sickest shot I've ever seen anyone take and get up.

I want to see the Matt Hamil vs Jon Jones fight too. Jones is raw but he has the potential to be very very good. He beat Stephan Bonar pretty easily. Hamil should be another good test.

Kimbo fighting Houston Alexander... I expect carnage. Poor Kimbo. Anyone think this will last longer than 45 seconds?

Jon Jones is going to be a handful. Once again Steve Mazzagatti doesn't deserve to watch MMA, yet alone ref it. He let Matt Hamil take way too much punishment which ended up causing Jones to be disqualified. If I were fighting I would ask the commission to assign me a ref other than Mazzagatti due to fear for my own safety. That dude is a joke.

I agreed with Mazzagatti for a while, even when Jones keep glancing up. Hamil was taking damage but he was still attempting to defend and most of the blows were missing or glancing off.
There was a lot of complaints after the fight about the disqualification being unfair but that's the rules. There are no warnings on intentional fouls / illegal strikes. If Hammill could have continued, it may have only been a point deduction. Since he couldn't continue, it becomes a straight disqualification. If you listen close, Mazz called for the point deduction, he didn't plan on stopping the fight but had no choice when Hammill was unable to continue. I don't like Mazz but ultimately Jones screwed himself, he knew it to by the way he looked up as soon as he threw the down strike elbow. I don't know why Jones did it because I'm sure he doesn't train using that straight down elbow.
Personally I wish the UFC would incorporate the rules strikeforce uses, no elbows to a downed opponent.
The main reason people throw those elbows is the chance of cutting the other fighter. To me it's cheap.
I don't think the win/loss because of the disqualification is going to hurt Jones one bit. Regardless of how this fight ended, Jones moves up and Hammil down in the standings.

Really sucked not seeing Rampage/Evans but enjoyed the event overall.
Sorry to see Marcus lose, he's probably done. I was amazed at Houston Alexander running from Kimbo the whole fight. Glad to see Kimbo get the win, I wonder how long he'll stick around if at all.

Still goes down as the worse season of the show EVER.

I'm looking forward to Chuck/Tito next season. Tito was a great fighter but he's such a bitch. I can't believe he's complaining about losing the decision to Forrest. They were both 1/1 going into the 3rd round, where Tito did zero to win the fight. In my opinion, that last round could easily of been 10-8 for Forrest. I was surprised it was a split decision, clear victory in my book.

I'd love to see John Jones beat upon that bleached out melon head that rests on Ortiz's shoulders. Ortiz was a bitch, has been a bitch, is a bitch, and will always be a bitch. Let him and Rashad fight. Then Either way a disrespectful bitch get's knocked out and I'm happy.

Or even better let Anderson Silvia fight both those crying douche bags at the same time. Or in the same night. Now that's a show begging to be seen.

I think there are several signs pointing to major problems at the UFC right now.
* Strikeforce sings Fedor and Hendo while the UFC fails to bring in new big name talent.
* Several horrible events lately, top of the list is the Couture/Vera fight. Their big name draws are not getting it done. Need more proof just look at UFC 109, the headline is Randy Couture vs. Mark Coleman. In what world is that a maincard fight? Sure everyone loves Couture but he's only won 1 fight in 2 years ( Vera ) where he looked horrible. Then there is Coleman, who has lost 50% of his fights in the last 8 years. His only recent win was against Bonnar. I like Bonnar but he's not even a top 10 fighter, if he was anyone else he would have already been cut. Dana is trying to sell UFC 109 as a great fight between two Hall of Famers. Sure there was a time when they were great fighters but how many more times are they going to be dragged out to hide the void of new developed fighters?
* Dana makes his big announcement about who the coaches will be for TUF 11 Lidell/Ortiz. No one cares because we've already seen them before. Why didn't they takes this opportunity to showcase new talent instead of two people on their way out?

I don't think you can count the loss of Hendo as being a big issue for the UFC. Yes he's a great fighter but he's a horrible draw. Nobody buys a pay per view to watch him fight. The reason it seems so bad right now is that you have champions who have cleared out divisions and/or they are hurt. I'm looking forward to the card this weekend. I don't think things are as exciting as they were at one time but things come in waves. They will come up with a super fight we all want to see soon enough.

I think there are a lot of people who wanted to see how far Hendo could go. Your right about him personally not being a big draw. I think the majority of UFC fans are completely clueless about other MMA orgs. Hendo was basically the last big name from Prides's glory days. I really wanted to see him fight Anderson again, as he was probably the best match for him.
It's like you said, the champs have cleared out their divisions which is great but the problem is the lack of new up and coming talent. A great example of what I think the UFC is lacking is exactly what recently happened in the WEC.
For the longest time Faber was the undisputed king of the featherweight division. He was only 2 fights away from clearing the whole division but them lost 2 time in a row to the new King, Brown. Now suddenly there is an almost unknown who comes in a easily beats Brown like it's nothing. The Brown/Aldo fight was great, Aldo completely dominated Brown, not by skill or Power but sheer unmatched violence. Aldo who is only 23 now has 6 knockouts in a row and easily walked thru Brown, who many thought would be top dog for a long time.
The UFC needs something like that to get people's interest up, I just don't see it happening. Most of the recent UFC main cards fights have been overshadowed by undercard or pre-lim fights.

just saw some highlights from the fights on the new season. In the fights to get into the house Mr. Mazzagatti looks like he let someone else almost bleed out again. Blood was literally pouring from his face and these even showed clips of Dana glancing back up at him to see what he was going to do. Pretty sure if i was covered in that much of someone elses blood I would stop from fear of getting some disease or shit.

Looks like this season is more promising that last for sure

I'm so glad to see actually fighters on the show this season compared to last. Looking forward to some great fights.
As big of a bitch Tito is, I would have to say he's probably one of the better coaches I've seen.

Can't wait to see UFC 112, it's been a great two months for MMA fans between the UFC & WEC events.
