Just curious on what everyone's set up is for COD4 and your FPS average. I'm looking to revamp my pc and am so frustrated running 20 fps on all the maps.
I have: AMD Athlon Processor at 2.0GHz 1 GB of RAM 250 GB HD BFG Nvidia GeForce 6800 128 MB AGP card What I will be trying to get here soon is: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400 @ 3.2 GHz Gigabyte GA-MA790X Motherboard 4 GB of DDR2 PC26400 RAM EVGA Geforce 8800GT 512 MB vid card sometime there after another 8800 card for dual vid cards. If there are any better, cheaper, alternative routes that you guys prefer, I'm all ears. Just wanna get some ideas before I just go out and buy. -------------------- |

I just finished building a new computer and the one thing I learned was as you upgrade, one thing leads to another. New cards means new Power supply and so on.
Keep your eye on Pricewatch.com. I bought most of my components from a place called Micro Center and they are having a sale this month. I leaned on everybody in Vent for advice. I owe Morphine, Slim, Ouch, Heated, OM Mike to name a few a beer for all of there advice. As far as my FPS goes I get 125FPS with everything maxed out in COD4 Here is the guts of my new machine.. 680i Motherboard 4 gigs Dominater RAM 2 8800gt in SLI Core 2 duo 3ghz proccesor 2 150gig Raptors in RAID Extreme Gamer sound card Vista Hope this helps.
